— 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 the Cullens would be...interesting. After all, there were too many opposing factors to not have at least a little bit of tension.

She knew it was gonna be entertaining. But what she didn't know, was just how fascinating the Cullens could be.

As soon as she and the pack had stepped foot on the territory near their residence, she'd found seven vampires standing stiffly in front of the house, with the company of one human. A mousy little thing that seemed to jump at every little sound. Fascinating indeed.

But what caught her attention was the sneer displayed on one of the vampires. A pretty blonde who stood next to a buff raven-haired vampire with a seemingly permanent smirk etched onto his face.

The blonde's eyes were filled with hatred and distaste, as she looked over every shapeshifter surrounding Valencia, and the redhead decided right then and there that she would either never get along with the woman, or somehow end up becoming best friends.

The aforementioned buff man next to her gave Valencia a good vibe, as his smirk seemed to promise nothing but mischief and amusement. In a way, he reminded the redhead of Paul — despite having only known the latter for a matter of a couple of hours, and the former — for a handful of seconds.

Next to the clearly mated couple, stood a brunette woman who seemed to be a bit older than the surrounding vampires. She had a heart-shaped face with kind amber eyes, and Valencia got the feeling she would definitely take a liking to the woman.

Next to her, stood her mate, a tall blonde man with a small smile on his face. He seemed to be the most welcoming of the coven, and it was quite obvious, that he was the leader of said group.

On his right, was a bronze-haired vampire that Valencia recognized from Jacob's visions. She couldn't help but scan his mind for a moment, as he was very good at hiding his emotions.

And to her surprise, the only thing on the forefront of his mind was Willow. She sensed a deep feeling of regret — as if he'd hurt the brunette and a fear that she would never forgive him.

When she turned to look at the Sinclair girl, the redhead noticed that the girl refused to make contact with the man's pleading eyes.

The man took a moment to look at Valencia in cautious confusion, but she paid him no more mind, as she moved on to the human standing next to him.

The leech lover from Jacob's visions.

She was very skittish, a nervous energy constantly radiating from her — so strong that Valencia's nose started to burn a little. The vampire quickly moved on.

On the other side of the human, was a small pixie-like vampire. Her facial features locked in a stone-cold expression that didn't quite match her aura. She took note that the vampire had a protective grip on the human's wrist, and decided that she would probably not get along with that one.

And finally, her eyes roamed over the last vampire. His expression looked pained, as he stood stiffly — more than his fellow vampires, even. Her enhanced eyesight allowed her to see details about him that made him stand out from the rest.

Scars.

But not just any. Bite marks littered the areas of skin displayed to the world, and Valencia knew right away that there was a story behind them. Hopefully, one that could prove to be useful to them.

After all, he'd survived them, hadn't he?

By the time she pulled herself out of her analyzing thoughts, she found Embry staring at her in gentle concern.

Eager to placate her mate, she shot him a reassuring smile, which easily calmed him. His shoulders sagged into a less tense posture, and Valencia's smile grew wider. Proud that she successfully made her mate feel better.

"Welcome back to our home." The blonde man from the line of vampires started. "Willow expressed that this was an urgent matter, so let's not waste time. Shall we?" He moved to gesture towards the house behind them, and Sam stiffly nodded.

As the vampires led them into the pristine house, Valencia studied each and every detail carefully.

This meeting was going to be fun.

— 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 off calm, with introductions being made for Valencia's sake before the two groups jumped into business.

As predicted, the news of her relation to Victoria caused multiple cries of outrage to ring from the Cullens, while the redhead showed no signs of a reaction on her face.

She didn't expect anything less from them and held no hard feelings towards the coven. Their anger was understandable.

"Are you stupid!? Why would you deranged mutts bring that bitch's sister here? What is wrong with you!?" The blonde woman hissed, her eyes shining with outrage.

Valencia spoke up at this. She would not allow her mate and his pack to be insulted like that.

"They are nowhere near deranged, blondie. Nor are they mutts. You would do well to show them some respect." The redhead was calm, as her words washed over the room.

The blonde's eyes flashed in anger, but Valencia cut her off. "I'm here because I want to help. I do not approve of my sister's actions, and I know she must be stopped."

"How can we even trust you?" Rosalie snapped back, as she crossed her arms.

"Just ask Edward. He can read minds, Rose." Willow reminded the vampire, a hint of impatience in her tone.

Valencia smiled in gratefulness towards the Sinclair girl, and then looked to Edward. Smirking mischievously, she spoke. "A mind reader, huh? Have at it then."

"You look so much like her when you smirk," Bella muttered quietly, yet everyone in the room still heard her.

Supernatural hearing.

Valencia smiled sweetly. "I wonder why?" She shot sarcastically.

The mousy brunette quite literally jumped when they locked eyes, and Alice glared at the redhead. "Watch it with the attitude."

Valencia stood straighter, her shoulders stiffening as she became tense. "Do not mistake me, Alice. I understand that Victoria must be stopped, but that does not mean I am happy with the fact that the first time I see my sister in over 300 years will most likely be the last time I see her alive."

Once again, the room went deathly silent.

"And at the hands of my allies no less. You will do well to watch your tone with me, Alice Cullen. I will help you with Victoria, but you know as well as I do that vampires do not forget. And you do not want to make an enemy out of me."

"Is that a threat?" Rosalie stepped forward threateningly.

Valencia took a step forward as well. "No. It's a warning, and I suggest you not let it become a promise."

Embry shot a hand out towards Valencia and lightly pulled her back to his side. She calmed instantly at his touch and looked towards Carlisle.

"Now. Are we here to discuss a plan, or to continue arguing?"
