— 𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 Valencia and Embry came back from their run, it was dark out.

As Embry made to walk towards the door of Emily's home, he realized Valencia wasn't following and paused. With furrowed brows, he tilted his head in confusion. "You coming inside?"

Valencia gave him a small smile but shook her head. "Thank you, but no thank you. I need to find a place to stay for the night. Can't risk Victoria finding me."

Embry's brows furrowed even more. "What do you mean? You have a place to stay right here."

This caused Valencia to stop surveying the surrounding woods for a moment. "What?"

Embry nodded. "You're staying here, Val. With Emily, Sam, and me."

Now it was the redhead's turn to look confused. "But I know you don't live with them. Your scent is strong here, but not strong enough to say that you live here."

The Call boy looked at her as if she was missing the obvious. "Yeah, I don't live here. But as of right now, you do — which means so do I."

Valencia shook her head and laughed. "I couldn't ask you to do that, mate."

He raised a brow and smirked, as he walked closer and grabbed her hand. "Good thing I wasn't asking then, Val."

The redhead sighed, squeezing his hand gently. "Embry, no. I can't ask you to do that. You have a home and you should be there right now. Not putting your life on hold for me."

The brunette's brows furrowed, as he frowned. "You're my imprint, Valencia. I'm not putting my life on hold for you. If anything, my life can finally begin now that I've met you."

Valencia shook her head, trying to pull her hand out of Embry's increasingly tight hold. "Mate, I'm not asking you to do this." She reiterated what she'd told him earlier.

"And I'm not asking, imprint," Embry replied, his eyes daring her to argue with him some more.

Sighing, Valencia used his hold on her hand to pull herself closer to his body. Cupping his cheek, she smirked. "You are trouble, Call."

He readily returned the smirk. "Then I guess that makes you my salvation, Sutherland." He pulled away from her slightly, never loosening his hold on her hand — and began to walk back to the house.

"Now come on, imprint. Let's get settled in."

— 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 watched another person sleep before.

It was...weird.

She felt creepy, but at the same time — watching her mate's deep breaths as he slept, his entire being at peace...it gave her a sense of peace as well.

Watching his chocolate eyes open slowly, still filled with sleep was arguably even better than watching him sleep. The way his eyes lit up when he realized she was still laying with him made an involuntary smile cross her lips.

"Good morning, mate," Valencia spoke softly.

Embry smirked mischievously as he sat up on his elbows, looking her up and down while doing so. "Good morning indeed."

The redhead rolled her eyes good-naturedly and lightly pushed him back into the bed. "Watch it."

Embry went down willingly, using his quick wolf reflexes to pull Valencia on top of him. Sighing contentedly, he closed his eyes.

"I wanna stay like this forever."

Before Valencia could respond, another voice from downstairs cut through their moment of bliss.

"Too bad. Downstairs in 10, you have patrol with Paul." The sound of Sam's gruff voice reached the couple's ears, his tone letting them know it was an order.

Embry groaned, while Valencia only smiled. If Paul was coming for patrol, it most likely meant Willow wasn't too far behind.

The vampire was quite fond of the tall brunette. Willow was like a breath of fresh air for Valencia. She didn't hesitate to show her kindness even when Paul and the rest of the pack seemed to be on edge. Valencia would never forget that.

Peeking an eye open, Embry took a moment to study his imprint. "You're thinking about seeing Willa-bear again, aren't you?" He asked.

Valencia's eyes widened as she smiled. "Who's the one that can look into another person's mind here?" She teased.

Embry only smirked. "Well technically, I can look into several people's minds when in wolf form."

Valencia only laughed, as she climbed out of the bed. "Go get ready, mate."

— 𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐒 Valencia reached the kitchen, she was engulfed in a hug, her vision suddenly swarmed with dark locks.

Smiling, Valencia took care to return the hug gently. She would never want to hurt Willow.

"Good morning to you too." The redhead laughed.

Pulling away, Willow stared at Valencia in awe. "It is so unfair that Embry gets to have you. You're so much more beautiful up close."

"Willow, stop trying to fuck the vampire." Paul suddenly came from the living room, an amused smirk on his face.

Willow pouted, "But she's so pretty!"

Valencia laughed. She figured it was taking Paul a great deal not to get jealous right now, and she appreciated it very much. Paul was funny. She liked him.

Turning to look at the Alpha standing in the kitchen, she nodded. "Sam."

He returned the gesture. "Valencia."

"Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home. Your kindness is greatly appreciated." The vampire continued, feeling multiple eyes on her.

Sam only grunted, before returning to making his plate of breakfast.

Valencia turned to look at Willow once more. "Do you have any plans for the day?" She asked, not really knowing which answer she was hoping for.

Willow nodded, a wide smile crossing her face. "As a matter of fact, I do!"

The disappointment that flooded Valencia told her that she in fact did know what answer she was hoping for. And it wasn't that.

"Oh, okay. And what is that?"

Willow laughed. "Well, we're going shopping of course!"

"We are?"

"You are?"

The sound of three voices speaking at once suddenly filled the room.

Valencia turned to look at Embry, who had finally finished freshening up — while Willow looked at Paul.

It was clear that the girls' boyfriends had been the second and third voices respectively.

"We are." Willow nodded, the smile never leaving her face.

Valencia smiled back and shrugged. "Okay. As long as you're sure Victoria won't find me."

Willow linked her arm with Valencia. "Don't worry. She won't come into town and risk getting caught now."

The redhead nodded. "'Makes sense." She then turned to look at Embry and Paul.

"See you later, mate. Be safe on patrol. Bye, Paul."

Willow also looked at the two stunned shapeshifters. "Bye Em, bye babe!"

And with that, the two women were off to start their day of bonding.
