A few months later

The sun beamed through a hap in the curtain. It lit up a small section of a large desk. A file was sitting in the sun beam.
"What can you tell me about him?" A man asked.
"He's 15 and has a knack for getting into trouble," another man replied.
"And you're sure this is the same boy who was working with the FBI?"
The second man nodded.
"Excellent," the first man said as he leaned back in his chair.
"Everything you'll need is in that file," the second man stated.
"Good. That just leaves one loose end to tie up," the first man got up from his desk.
The second man watched him as he took out a gun. "Jamie, what are you doing?"
"You've been lacking in skills lately. You were probably caught on servallance more than once. I can't have that on my team. You're being let go," Jamie said as he cocked the gun.
"Jamie," the man tried to reason.
Jamie didn't say anything. He fired the gun and watched the man crumple to the ground. He glanced at the file sitting on the desk.
"Your turn, Alex Rider."
