This is inspired by the song Life by Falk Wünsch, an incredibly beautiful song I've recently fallen in love with.
Life
And she watched the world below,
Every star, every planet, every galaxy
Spread before her like a map,
Telling a story as old as time itself.
In these fractals of light there was hope and there was fear,
There was death and there was grief,
There was darkness and there was light,
And it all created balance.
Within Every living thing was a beauty unmatched.
And as she watched she saw it emerge like a butterfly from a chrysalis,
Beautiful in its pain,
Beautiful through its suffering,
Wavering but never failing.
This beauty would never die,
it would live on forever and ever,
Leaving a mark on the fabric of the universe.
For even the smallest of creatures makes a mark,
Tells a story,
Spreads their wings,
Learns to fly.
And every living thing had hope, even the smallest mouse and the human being who struggles through sorrow and hurt, anger and hate,
For even within darkness beauty emerges, shedding light upon the shadow,
Growing stronger Like a heartbeat,
Strength and power flowing through its veins,
Beauty coursing through every being.
As she watched silently, Life smiled.
These were her creations.
Her perfectly imperfect creations,
And she loved every single one of them.
