Zep was a kind girl; she always had been, it was all she had known to be. It first started when she turned ten, offering a small hand to the young boy next to her, leading him towards a small field of daises out front of the hospital, picking flowers to put in the small glass vase by his mother's bedside table.
Then from the age of eleven, she held his hand once more when the dreaded day came and though she was freshly known to the experience of death, it was his day to grieve and she was willing to be there, offering him everything that she had.
Scott's father was next, at the age of thirteen he had upped and left, struggling with addiction and the concept of monogamy, he left it all behind.
She was there, keeping him company whilst his mum picked up extra shifts at the Hospital and she was working at a small cafe at the end of her road, bringing him home some small, iced buns that were going to be thrown away that night.
She would always be there, no matter what time, if they needed her, she would be there...for the both of them; not just him.
