𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐆 arrived to his favourite cafe, Milky Way. He pushed his bike stand down, and locked the bike up to the metal fence. Griffin walked through the doors, smelling freshly made cupcakes, coffee being poured. Everything he dreamed of.
Griffin sat down at his favourite table right in the corner. He pulled 'Carrie' by Stephan King out and started reading while he waited for the waiter.
"Hi I'm Billy. Welcome to Milky Way, what could I get for you today?" A tall boy with blonde hair stood at the side of the table, beaming a smile to Griffins face. "Hi. I'd like the strawberry and vanilla milkshake please!" Griffin said. "Awesome, that will be ready shortly." The waiter smiled once more, before walking back to the counter.
Griffin couldn't stop wondering who that boy was. I've never seen himaround before, he thought. Griffin only ever saw the main waiters around the cafe, but he'd never seen him before. But Griffin wasn't mad though, in fact, he was happy. Seeing new faces were a good thing, considering Griffin's life.
No one noticed him. Ever. He would get bullied at school time and time again, getting called 'fag' and 'worthless piece of crap.' There were more names, but they were the main. It would make him feel like shit every single day, but he didn't let those words get to him.
Time passed before Griffin heard foot steps leading up to his table. "One strawberry and vanilla milkshake?" Billy asked. "Yes, thankyou," Griffin replied. "I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?" Griffin asked Billy before he was about to walk away. "Oh- yeah, started a couple days ago actually. Delivering papers get kind of boring," Billy let's out a breathy chuckle. "I get it. Well it's nice meeting you, Billy." Griffin said simply, before Billy smiled back and walked away.
Griffin sipped happily on his milkshake before that happiness was ruined by the group of bullies— Matt, Matty and Buzz. Griffin kept his head low so they couldn't recognise him, but he failed miserably.
"Oi, isn't it the fag of the town?" Matty said coming to sit opposite to Griffin. "What's a fag like you doin' here?" Buzz exaggerated fag. Griffin never thought they would come to his happy place, but he thought wrong. People around him started starring and seeing what was happening. Even Billy turned his head to face the scene. Griffin felt a warm tear fall from his eye. Not now, not now he thought. "Aw, is Griffin crying? Oh wait no! The little baby is crying!" Matt pissed himself laughing. Matty and Buzz joined along.
"Hey knock it off!" A voice was heard. Matt, Matty and Buzz cocked their heads around to see Billy in their view, standing there unimpressed. "Leave him alone." Billy firmly said. Soon more people got their heads out of their papers and instead looking at Billy. "No, why should we?" Matt asked. "Leave him alone, or I'll kick you out." Billy said again. "Yeah right, I bet you couldn't even throw a punch if ya tried." Matty chuckled.
Billy was fuming with rage, but he kept it in him. "I said leave, or wasn't I clear?" Billy tilted his head. "Get out!" Billy raised his voice. Matt, Matty and Buzz rushed out the cafe, still shocked by Billy's words. "T-thankyou." Griffin stuttered out. "They were being dicks, I had to do something." Billy laughed. "What's your name? I don't think you told me." Billy asked. "It's Griffin." Griffin replied. "Cool, cool." Billy said.
Griffin finished his milkshake before leaving the cash on the table and a tip for Billy's kindness. "Have a good day!" Billy shouted out from behind the counter. Griffin waved at him before turning to his bike and heading off down the street.
