THE WALK BACK to their rooms was silent as only their footsteps echoing through the halls filled the silence. Ashley walked ahead of the group, her back to them as she cracked her fingers, trying to calm herself down before she turned around and attacked the Master without a single regret. She knew she couldn't without massive consequences that wouldn't only affect her, but also Sting and Rogue. The Master knew how to keep her in check, he knew he couldn't control her without pulling a few strings, that's why when she messed up, it wouldn't only be her paying the price of her mistakes.
Sting was the first to break the silence, "Master can be intense. I mean that hurt to watch."
Ashley bit her tongue, holding back an eye roll at his words. She knew that Sting could be an insensitive asshole sometimes, but god did he have to pick now, when she was on the verge of killing something from all the built up anger in her after that meeting.
Then of course, once Sting gets started, Lector has to join too. "Well it can't be helped. There's a reason that we're the most powerful guild in all of Fiore."
Ashley huffed, that's cause the entire guild rides on her back. It wouldn't be cocky of her to say without her, this guild wouldn't be as powerful as it was. It was why the Master cared so much about keeping her in check and keeping her in the guild.
