IT HAD TAKEN ALMOST AN ENTIRE HOUR, just for Yukino to finally convince Ashley that the white haired girl was okay enough for her to leave her side for the night. But even then, Ashley had gone out of her way to help the girl find a new inn for her to stay in for the night, she even forced Yukino to let her pay for it and then made sure she got to her room okay that night. Yukino had to continuously reassure her that she was going to be okay, that she was safe and would be just fine before she practically had to force Ashley out of her new inn room.
It wasn't like Yukino didn't want Ashley to stay with her, in fact, she wanted that more than anything, she wanted her comfort and her arms wrapped around her tight for the rest of the night. But Yukino knew that it would have been selfish of her to keep Ashley away from her inn, away from Sting and Rogue, any longer as she knew those two must have been worried sick about her from how long she's been out.
Not only that, but unlike Yukino, Ashley still had the Grand Magic Games in the morning to compete in. She had to go back and get a good rest in order to be able to compete well tomorrow and if she was too tired to compete, Yukino would just feel like she failed the guild all over again. She couldn't keep her with her any longer and she hated that.
So with a long, deeply worried sigh, Ashley hesitantly left the Inn Yukino was staying in and made her way back to her own inn. Though she was met with a bit of a surprise once she arrived as she quickly realized something big must have either happened once she left or was still happening as she was arriving. The entrance before her was completely blown to bits and pieces and as she stepped closer to analyze it, she could see burn marks scorching at the edges that were left behind.
