The next morning, just as we pulled up in the school's parking lot and got down for the car, putting it on automatic lock;

Jake held my hand as I was about heading to my department. I turned and met a rather worried look on his face and wondered what could be the problem.

He moved his fingers towards the ring and pulled it off my ring finger making me frown as I yanked the ring from his hands and back into mine.

"what's that for?"

"please you have to understand. It's for your own good."

"I hope this doesn't mean....."

"no, not at all" he calmed, "Trust me" he added, slowly retrieving the ring from me before placing it back in its case and sliding that into his pockets.

"hope it won't get lost"

"I promise, it won't" he replied with a 😘 kiss.

I doodled in a little notebook as I and my three roomies conversed.

"you didn't come back last night..... Where did you sleep?" belle asked.

"it doesn't matter" I answered, shooting her a 'mind your business' look.

She slowly pulled her head away and gave a sorry look on her face.
