SIKOLETHU MBATHA
'NDLOVUKAZI.' the angelic voice whispered.
I woke up and looked around and finally came face to face with a beautiful old lady , she was glowing and dark skinned ; wearing a white dress and brown sandals. She had a big afro too
Woman : "Woza." (Come) her aura was peaceful and pure , she looked beautiful beyond words.
Me : "who are you?" She smiled at me , ohh her smile.
Woman : "Your real guardian angel , now follow me." I finally stood up and followed her, strangely i was also in a long black dress. She took my hand we walked , this place was so beautiful and refreshing. We were walking down the hill and it wasn't difficult , i could see a river as we continued walking
Me : "Are we going to the river?"
Woman : "Yes." We finally got to the river and we sat on a rock close by with our feet in the water.
Me : "What are we doing here and where is Lwa?"
Woman : "Don't worry about that boy , he's okay and you are here for many things that I'll clarify just now."
Me : "Firstly who are you? Really?"
Woman : "I am Nobuntu , the late Queen of EZikalala. I am your father's mother and your grandmother."
Me : "Oh , nice to meet you then."
Nobuntu : "I was the last Queen who had superpowers and spiritual gift. My gifts had a lot of negatives and positives. It was hard living with it because most the time , evil forces were always trying to get close to me to steal them or use them for their evil doings but i was always able to defeat them. It also helped me with helping my people so I was grateful for it , still am."
Me : "That's nice."
Nobuntu : "I received the gift from my mother who also received it from her mother , basically it's a generational gift for females from my family. Before passing on I had to pass the gift to my daughter but unfortunately for me , i only birthed boys so I was to pass it on to my very first granddaughter which is you and i did."
Me : "Really?!"
Nobuntu : "Yes."
Me : "Is that why I was led home by my dreams?"
Nobuntu : "no , thats where the problem started. You were led home by evil spirits for their own evil gains. Things weren't supposed to happen this way , i tries saving you by misleading you in finding your way home but unfortunately i can only do much on this side."
Me : "What? How?"
Nobuntu : "Okay. The people or rather spirits that kept pressuring you to go home where all lies , it was someone after you. They led you home so you could be close to them and so they can be able to get whatever they wanted from you easily especially since you did not know anything about your gifts. While you thought those people were helping you , they weren't they were sucking off your gift for their evil plans."
Me : "Even my brother?" My tears were flowing now.
Nobuntu : "Yes. They are still plotting against you , they want umphefumulo wakho manje."
Me : "This is crazy! What have done to them?!"
Nobuntu : "Unfortunately my child , evil will always lurk around hurting innocent people. Im also sorry but they stole your gift." I couldn't help the gasp that escaped my mouth.
Me : "What? Im really sorry for messing with something so treasury."
Nobuntu : "You don't have to apologize , you also never knew anything about the gift."
Me : "......"
Nobuntu : "You will be given your spiritual gift back though if your cleansing goes well."
Me : "ok I am scared."
Nobuntu : "Don't worry about it angel , if you deserve it then you'll receive it back. Now follow me inside." She held my hand as we walked further into the water. She kept chanting clan praises and prayer as we stood in the middle of the moving river. She held my hand and placed a hand on my head then dipped me in the water three times then finally took me out. The black dress slipped out of my body , i was naked. She placed her hands on my stomach and prayed then put a waist band made of white wool then handed me a white cloth to wrap around my body. She helped me wrap myself then led us out of the water.
Nobuntu : "You are now Nosibusiso Sikolethu Melamina Zikalala."
Me : "thank you."
Nobuntu : "Still angry at the people you were angry at?" I shake my head. And it's true , somehow I felt different , my heart was at ease.
Nobuntu : "Good that means you were cleansed properly. I will guide you through everything."
Me : "Okay."
Nobuntu : "And please take care of your husband and son."
Me : "son?"
Nobuntu : "Yes , you about to become a mother and this pregnancy is very crucial therefore , lay low and don't let anyone know of it."
Me : "I hear." We walked back.
Nobuntu : "I will visit you anytime you need me okay?" I nodded.
Me : "Okay."
Nobuntu : "Don't trust anyone other than the people close to you at this moment Okay?" I nodded.
Me : "Okay." She kissed my forehead then my tummy then turned and walked back.
