SIKOLETHU MBATHA
Two days later , I'm still cooped up in Lwa's cottage. I was curled up on the couch in front of the TV watching a movie when the door opened and i thought it was Lwa
"Makoti." It was his mother! I quickly sit up and she settles next to me.
Me : "Hi mah." I whisper. She pulls me into her arms and i just start crying.
MaSibiya : "Yini sthandwa sami?" (What's wrong my love?) She asked after I had calmed down.
Me : "I'm pregnant."
MaSibiya : "Wait , didn't you say you still pure?"
Me : 'I am Mah , ubesoma." I answer her shyly. She laughs a little.
MaSibiya : "Isn't that good news?" She asks brushing my back smoothly after laughing.
Me : "it is but I'm scared. I'm scared of my mom's reaction after she warned me."
MaSibiya : "Oh sthandwa sami , i understand but she will calm down eventually." I shake my head hiccuping.
Me :
MaSibiya : "You can talk to me baby , what else are you scared of?"
Me : "I am scared of the idea of being someone's mother. What if something happens while I'm pregnant with all these people who want me dead? What if they kill my baby? Im scared they might be onto me as we speak." I cry
MaSibiya : "Hush my baby. Nothing will happen to you now , baba confirmed it. Please calm down , stress isn't good for the baby." I nod.
Me : "Okay."
MaSibiya : "And i will make sure we support you throughout this journey Okay?" I nod.
MaSibiya : "How about we go to the main house and have some amagwinya and tea?" I smile nodding
Me : "Okay." She grabs my slippers and helps me wear them then we walked out to the main house. She makes me sit on the highchair while she moves around. After sometime she places a bowl of French fries with two vatkoeks on the side.
Me : "Thank you mah." My mouth is already watering.
MaSibiya : "What do you want to drink?"
Me : "Juice please." I love me some apple juice. The food is really slapping hey.
Lwa : "Baby?" He kisses my cheek after walking in.
MaSibiya : "Lwandle usuyindoda manje wena?! Usuyamithisa?" (Lwandle are you a man now? You impregnate?) She asks heatedly with her hands on her hips frowning at him.
Lwa : "Hawu mah?"
MaSibiya : "Kawu kah ukunuka?! Heh?! You will have your father to deal with wena?!" Then she clicks her tongue and walks out. Now I feel kinda bad cause he looks so sad but ha.ah he won't be there when Mantombi wants to fry my head after finding out so shame he's on his own bandla.
Me : "Lwandle." He turns to me and smiles before kissing me softly on my lips , I moan in his mouth then he breaks it.
Lwa : "I love you baby yezwa?"
Me : "Me too. Lwandle , I want wings from KFC futhi."
Lwa : "Only?" I shake my head.
Me : "No."
Lwa : "Let's go and buy them." He pulls me up by hand then we walk out.

Here I am sitting on Lwa's bed with Uzeno , eating Doritos and custard. We were watching an animation movie. My phone rings and it's my father , I answer
"Sikolethu!" She says sternly before I could utter anything.
Me : "Mama?"
Mama : "Uyingoduso wena?! Sikushadisile yini thina lay'khaya?" (Are you a bride? Did we marry you off?)
Me : "Cha mama."
Mama : "Manje ufunani kubo kamfana insuku ezingaka ungelutho lapho? Ngakufundisa ukukipita mina?" She shouts. (Then what are you doing there when you not anything in that yard? Did I teach vat n sat?)
Me : "Chabo." I sniff wiping my tears.
Mama : "Angikwazi utetemelani unjalo nje! I want you home first thing tomorrow morning siyezwana?!" (I don't even know why you crying! ......am I clear?) I nod.
Me : "Eh"
Mama : "Okay I love you sthandwa sami." She hangs up.
