"Officer, I swear upon my life when I say again that I wasn't kidnapping her at all," Namjoon desperately explained.

It was past midnight, around 2am and Namjoon and Lindsay were seated directly infront of the police bureau while their hands were still imprisoned by the metal handcuffs, being interrogated by the two officers seated in front of them.

They were in a gloomy and musty room with a ceiling fan spinning slowly above their heads yet the room felt stuffy. The only source of light came from the dimly lit arena of ceiling lights. The entire station was eerily silent, save for the occasional rustle of old papers and parchment upon the desk.

Namjoon finished explaining his and Lindsay's entire story for the 7th time that night since they got to the police station. The officers exchanged a suspicious glance amongst them two before giving Namjoon and Lindsay a cold and intense look.

Lindsay for her part, had remained silent her entire time there. She sat on the chair with her lips compressed into a tight line. Though she appeared to be calm and patient on the outside, her inner turmoil was anything but. She was feeling extremely agitated and worried so much that she could throw up. however, whenever the officers would impose any questions from her, Lindsay, unlike Namjoon, made no violent outbursts or protests. She simply managed to give a grim smile but her dry lips remained sealed.

The reason for this bizarre actions was that Lindsay thought that if she was very silent enough and made no such remarks on Namjoon not being a massacring kidnapper, the police may have a slight chance of actually saving her from his evil clutches. How could Namjoon do anything to her when the police were backing her up? This was obviously a very stupid thing to be done indeed but in Lindsay's desperate mind, she chose to see it as golden path to freedom.

"Hmm," Officer Jeon grumbled after Namjoon finished his story. He then turned to Lindsay with a raised eyebrow. "Miss. Lindsay, do you have anything to add to this? Were you really being captured in the same fashion as you had yelled about in the street?"

Following her sworn ritual, Lindsay remained dead silent. "Answer me, girl!" Officer Jeon roared with a bit of force which made Lindsay cower a bit but not open up her mouth.

Sergeant Park Jimin, whom Lindsay got to know as the other officer who had accompanied Officer Jeon during the arrest, crossed his arms over his broad chest and narrowed his eyes at the adolescent girl in front of him. "Seems to me that she may have been sworn to secrecy by the suspect," he commented switching his glare to Namjoon.

Namjoon whipped his head to face Lindsay looking completely baffled. "What the- why are you so silent?" he cried and one could have seen upon closer observation that he was slightly trembling in fury. "Tell them that I wasn't kidnapping you but I was trying to bring you home!" he seethed. His light hair stuck to his forehead in a sheet of sweat as he glared at Lindsay who had sunk herself deeper in her seat.
