I wake up to Mayas alarm going off, of freaking course she set an alarm. "If you don't turn that alarm off in the next 5 seconds I will burn you" I groan covering my head with my pillow. She turns it off and then I hear her sleeping bag rustle I turn to see her packing up her stuff "did you sleep in your clothes?" I ask her
"no these are camping pajamas" she defends I roll my eyes and roll over groaning, knowing I won't be able to fall asleep all of a sudden I hear a scream for bloody murder I instantly sit up looking at maya who looks as confused as me I grab a plain hoodie and sweats putting them over my pajama shorts and over my top I look up to see maya looking at me confused
"why did you sleep in shorts" she asks as we run towards the
"I can't sleep in long pants" I say as we all get to the source of the screaming I see the two people from yesterday, the women screaming about a bear while holding her bloody arm and the man laying on the ground bleeding. I go with Jackson and Vic to the man on the ground
"I need first aid kits there, anything you got. Grab anything you can" Jackson yells that's when I notice the man's nose is gone "hey, Scott, all right. I'm Dr Avery, okay. Look at me. Just look at me. I'm right here" he says in calming voice I start to look around to see if I can find the nose "alright I'm just gonna apply a little pressure here to stop this bleeding for you" I hear him say. I also hear andy on the phone. Then maya comes running back with the first aid kit and then starts looking for the nose aswell
"okay make a grid start from the outside in grab anyone not giving aid". Me, andy and maya are all walking together while looking through the bushes
"what am I looking for exactly?" Maya asks "a nose" I say in a sarcastic tone
"uh, a trail of blood? Flies?, maybe next time my dad suggests a bonding trip, maybe try a water park" Andy says. "Dad, Jack?" Andy yells out then I hear grunting I look down and see a baby bear
"oh this is bad" maya says "well no shit sherlock" I mumble but loud enough they both hear
"baby bear means..." she says quietly then a stick snaps we all quickly turn to see a bear "mommy bear" Andy finishes then it gets up on it's back legs roaring
"oh my god" I say quickly "Andy, Maya, Salem get back" Pruitt yells I close my eyes taking a deep breath in trying not to freak out
"you seriously had to Jinx it last night Salem" Jack says quietly "I was joking" I defend quietly
"okay everyone stay calm" she says but gets cut of "don't run, or it'll chase you" Andy says
"what do we do? Like play dead?" Jack suggests
"brown bear, yes. Black bear, no." Andy says her voice trembles a bit at the end "then what do we do?" Maya asks "were gonna die like actually die" I mumble to myself
"I'm here bear I'm here" Andy says holding up her hands slowly "hi mama its okay I'm a human I'm not here to hurt you" she carries on. Okay I know people ho crazy when there about to die but honestly Andy dont talk to the thing. I mentally roll my eyes
"Andrea get away from it" Pruitt whisper yells at her "stay calm, identify yourself, get big. Dad you taught me that" she says okay maybe she isn't as crazy as I thought "get big" Pruitt whispers. We all slowly start raising our arms
"slowly, no sudden movements" she whispers "we're here. We're human and we don't taste good" Jack says then the bear turns around and walks away as soon as it does I collapse and start breathing heavily. I go to sit by a log when travis jogs around the corner
"hey any luck finding the nose?" He asks looking around at all of us "no but we found the bear" jack tells him travis looks at me then back to Jack
"seriously?" Travis asks I go up and give him a hug "blood. There's blood" eva yells maya runs over
"it's the nose!" She yells out "we found the nose" she says
"where's Avery" Andy asks "hes probably getting close to the parking lot by now" travis says
"go maya" Pruitt says and then shes off "haul ass" jack yells. As we all get in the van I sit next to Pruitt. For the first 10 minutes there is the most awkward silence until Pruitt turn around to Andy
"I'm sorry I called you a slut" he says I choke a little and look wide eyes at travis and he does the same. What.
"Really dad? now" Andy says clearly embarrassed "I've been trying to talk to you for days, and you won't let me, so, yes. Now. I...I was way out of line none of that was any of my business I-I hurt you i was wrong" he says genuinely
"thank you" she says simply "was there something else you wanted to talk to me about?" She asks
"just, I know you miss Ryan, I miss him too" Pruitt admits "I don't just miss Ryan, I f-feel like, like apart of me is missing. And I feel angry at the entire world. And I'm sorry if I've been taking it out in you" Andy says and then it's back to silence again.
"I'm gonna go grab a beer I'll be back" I tell Andy and Jack and then walk up to the bar "one beer please" I ask as I sit down "hi" I say to the guy next to me he has glasses and looks kinda happy but not drunk happy genuinely happy
"I'm gay" he simply says I chuckle a bit he thought I was trying to hit on him "nice to meet you gay, I'm gay too" I joke holding out my hand he laughs but shakes it
"are you single?" He asks me seriously "yeah but your mot my type and I don't think I'm yours" I say as the bartender passes me my drink
"not for me for my friend, I'm Levi by the way" he says "Salem" as I say that he grabs my arm and pulls me to a small booth when I look down I see this beautiful woman she has beautiful blonde hair
"Taryn this is Salem, Salem this is my friend Taryn Helm have a conversation together while I go do something over there" he says then walks away I laugh a little and so does she I sit across from her
"sorry about him he can be annoying" she says "oh its nothing don't worry" I say drink a bit of my beer out the bottle "Taryn like he said" she says holding out her hand across the table
"Salem like he said" I say shaking it "you look familiar have we meet before?" She asks
"I don't think so but I'm a firefighter and saying your in this bar I would assume your a doctor?" I ask and she nods "yeah I am I've probably seen you dropping patients off" she laughs a little I look over to andy and jack who are already leaving I look down at my watch and its 11 already
"I'm sorry to cut this short but I gotta go is there a chance I could have your number?" I ask and she gives it to me. I run out to Jack's car knocking on the window
"what?" He asks "I need a lift please" I beg he nods in defeat and I jump in "thank you bestie boo"

I completely forgot to post last week and I'm so sorry but I'm planning on posting 2 this week.
Okay so I know this is the episode where maya meets carina and I love marina but they only have a one night stand in this book.
And I know you guys will probably hate me but I think Salem and taryn will be together but not for long
