The next morning we are about to make our way to the airport to fly to Spain. Leah didn't sleep in my room in the night so I really look forward to seeing her at breakfast.
Beth is still packing her bag when I already leave to go down to eat. I enter the room and find the table where we usually sit, empty. Seems like I'm the first one today. Normally Leah and Georgia are always here when I come down.I get something to eat and a coffee and take a seat. I scroll through my phone while I sip my coffee.
"Morning." I hear Georgia calling and look up. My eyes go past her straight at Leah who is walking behind her. She gives me a smile when our eyes meet. I already missed her even though it has just been one night. Georgia sits down and Leah walks behind me to go to her seat. On her way she shortly touches my back when she is right behind me. This small touch is enough to make my heart beat faster. She sits next to me and leans her face on her hands while looking straight at me. I enjoy this but she has to stop. Everyone can see the way she looks at me right now, especially Georgia.
"Have you been in Spain before?" I ask Georgia to distract her. Georgia tells me about another camp that she used to do in Spain and some previous games. While listening to her I carefully look over at Leah for a short moment. She is still looking at me the same way. What is up with her today? She never does that.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask Leah to put an end to her stare. She shakes her head and looks around in the room. She totally looks like she has been dreaming before.
"Yeah why are you looking at her like that?" Georgia repeats my question with a curious face.
"There is something different about you today. Did you do anything different?" Leah says. I'm always impressed by how good she is at finding excuses for everything.
"No nothing, just like always." I say. I know that the fact that I look like I normally do is the reason why she looks at me like that. She just shrugs her shoulders and takes her eyes off of me. I see Georgia smiling but she doesn't say anything. If she hadn't already known, she definitely knows now. At least I didn't mess it up this time.
Later we make our way to the airport. We go with the bus and I sit next to Beth. We don't really talk much because we are still very tired. Leah is sitting in the front with Keira. I recognize her laugh a few times. I love the sound of her laughing and can't stop to smile every time that I hear it.
At the airport we have to wait for a bit until our plane is ready for the flight. As usual I sit together with Georgia, Leah and Beth."Let's play a game." Georgia says.
"What game?" Beth asks.
"Someone asks a deep question and the others answer it." Georgia says with a smile at me. I know what questions she is talking about.
"That isn't a game." I say.
"Let's do it anyway." Georgia sticks to her idea.
"Okay, you start." Beth says at Georgia.
"What do you think is the best thing about falling in love?" Georgia asks. I knew that it would be something like this.
"I think just having someone that you can talk about anything with." Leah quickly says. She did that clever. She didn't look at me while saying this but I know she is thinking about me.
"The feeling that you get when you see them and the way your body calms down when they hold you in their arms at night." I say. I give Leah a small glance. I think about her and how I felt when she held me. She looks down and tries to hide her smile. She knows that I'm talking about her.
"You had that before?" Georgia asks me.
"Yes." I tell the truth. She doesn't have to know when I had it.
