Tomorrow I will marry Leah. We arrived at our location this afternoon and a few of our guests are also already there. Especially the ones who had to came from Manchester. We all had dinner in the evening and it actually felt nice to have them all around me. I can't wait for tomorrow. This is the last night that I will spend with Leah being my fiancée. Tomorrow she will be my wife.
I'm in my room alone. We spend our last night before the wedding in separated rooms. I hate that. I want to be with Leah. I thought it wouldn't be that hard and it would be even more amazing to see her tomorrow if I spend this night apart from her. I just try to sleep to make tomorrow come faster. I roll around in my bed. I think I laid in every possible position already but still can't sleep. I'm too excited to sleep. Leah's presence would definitely make this easier right now. I wait for a bit more time and just hope that I will be so tired that I'll fall asleep. It doesn't happen. This is ridiculous. I don't care about this tradition anyway. I want Leah next to me and I don't care if some stupid tradition says otherwise. I get up from my bed and slowly make my way out of my room. I walk down the hallway with quiet steps and get to Leah's room. I hope she is still awake and wants me to come in. I don't want to go in if she doesn't want me to.I knock at the door and wait for a moment. I knock again.
"Leah?" I softly say to let her know that's it's me.
"Emma, what are you doing here? Are you okay?" She asks but without opening the door.
"I know we are not supposed to see each other until tomorrow but I can't sleep without you." I say.
"Do you want to sleep here?" She asks.
"What about not seeing each other?" I want to make sure that she really wants this,
"I don't care about that. We just won't tell anyone." She says. I hear that she wants me to sleep in her bed.
"Okay." I say to confirm it. Leah opens the door. She is in her sweatpants and a T-shirt. Her hair up in a messy ponytail. She looks insanely cute. I quickly get into her room and we lay in her bed together. I lay on my side and Leah lays behind me. She spoons my body from behind. I lay my hand on her arm and hold on to her. This feels so much better. I immediately feel how I get more tired.
"This is better. Thank you for letting me sleep here." I say.
"To be honest, I couldn't sleep as well so I'm happy that you came here." Leah mumbles while she puts her nose at my neck.
"You're sweet." I whisper. She gives me a kiss on the neck. I close my eyes and relax into her arms. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow. It will be the best day of my life.
The next morning I wake up and immediately have to smile. I will marry Leah today. She still has her arms wrapped around me. We don't have much time now and no one should know that I slept here. I turn around and look at Leah's face for a moment before I lift up my chest. I softly shake her body to wake her up.
"Le honey wake up." I say at her and kiss her cheek. She moves and slowly opens her eyes. I know that she hates being woken up like this but I have to.
"What?" She mumbles and rubs her eyes.
"We have to get up. I'm sorry for waking you up but I have to go back to my room and I didn't want to go without kissing you." I say.
"That's a good reason to wake me up." She smiles. I lean over her and stroke her hair behind her ear. She holds on to my wrist and we stare into each other's eyes. I'm so in love with her. I can't wait to tell her that later when we are reading our vows. I lean in to gently kiss her lips. It's our last kiss before getting married.
"I can't wait to see you later." I whisper at her as I pull back.
"Me too. You will look amazing for sure." She says.
