Chapter 3

The next morning comes by fast.

I get up from my bed and go to open the large window curtains.

The view is so beautiful the sun rising.

The birds singing.

And my mom's garden lively.

Today's my 16th birthday.

I'll finally start studying about the kingdom and how to manage it.

If my brother Adrian was older then me he would get the thrown.

But he didn't want the thrown and had a huge argument with our father.

Father was angry because our people will never want a queen.

They want a king that can walk with his head held high.

But who cares what they think about woman.

Mother Vivi also agreed for Adrian to not be king.

He can only take over once I'm dead or sick.

So basically he's my right hand.

I love Adrian very much. He always knew how to cheer me up from when we were kids.

KNOCK KNOCK!

"come in" I say as someone knocks at my door.

"Your favorite person is here!" I hear a girl scream happily.

I smile and run up to hug Anna.

Anna is my best friend we grew up together.

She is older then me by a few days.

So she turned 16 before me.

Her full name is Annabelle but we call her Anna for short.

She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Her mother died after giving birth to her.

Her father is the only one that takes care of her.

Annabelles father works in the court with my father the King.

Anna is a very cheerful person always looking out for others.

"Good morning Anna!" I say hugging her tightly.

She giggles and then bows.

"Happy 16th my lady" Anna says finishing her bow.

She signals at the door for someone to come in.

They all burst through the door clapping and cheering.

My brother Adrian holds a breakfast tray and winks at me.

"oh breakfast for me?" I say gigling

Anna, Adrian, and Max is here.

"oh you guys didn't have to do all od this!" I say tears filling my eyes.

Max runs up to me and gives me a hug.

Adrian's brother max is 13 and almost as tall as me!

"Happy birthday Amiera!" He says laughing.

I hug Max back and smile.

"come on up we all have to get ready to go eat your birthday breakfast!" Anna says clapping.

I run quickly at the tray Adrian is holding and grab a bread.

"Shoo guys get out we are going to get ready and meet you when it's time for breakfast" Anna says cheerful.
