A cassette landed on Earth, abandoned by their master and was taken in by an elderly woman.

There will be many time skips in this chapter, all represented by the lines and will vary.

I coughed and climbed out of the hole my pod landed in. I stood up at the edge of the crater and looked back down at it. Remembering what had just happened, my lip quivered.

I yelled and was thrown back by the punch. I'd come back from my mission but failed.

For that, my master punished me like he always did.

"Can you never do anything right?!" Soundblaster yelled as he stomped over to me.

"I-I'm sorry!" I cried, covering my face when a kick was aimed at it. He hit my jaw, causing pain to spark and energon to leak from my mouth.

"What use are you if you couldn't complete even that simple task?" He growled, picking me up by the throat.

"I tried!" I yelled, "I'm sorry! Please just give me another chance!'"

His red visor brightened dangerously and his grip tightened, "You've had enough," He said, the anger laced with poison in his voice as he raised his gun and aimed it at my head.

I screamed and kicked upwards, making his face snap upwards as a strong blast echoed where my pede hit. He dropped me so I ran, not even thinking twice about what had just happened.

I made it out of the complex and ran straight for the escape pods, climbing into one and inputting a random set of coordinates. I looked out just in time to see my old master running out before I was launched and put into stasis.

I myself used to be one of Soundblaster's cassettes. I was fairly new so he'd never taken me out properly in a battle. I was on the small side for a cassette but had disproportionately large feet to make up for that.

Soundblaster was always trying to find a use for me but I guess he was relived of that burden now.

I sighed, facing the reality that I had no way back to Cybertron and would probably have to stay here for a while. Accepting this, I turned away from the pod and began walking, leaving my old life behind.

I eventually made it to a road and so, followed it. It seemed to take me through the countryside, through lush pastures and rolling hills, and even a small town in the distance, nothing like on Cybertron. It was beautiful.

After a while, a quaint little cottage, alongside a big red barn could be seen at the end of one of the fields. Around it was a whole bunch of pens and paddocks, presumably for animals.

I stopped briefly to look at it before a shout ran out down the road, "Look out!"

I looked around to see a tall, brown four-legged creature running toward me, something that looked like a harness hanging from its mouth. Its hooves clopped loudly on the path as it came.

I, however, stood my ground.

As it approached, I spread my arms, trying to block it. This made the animal rear up before it hit me and land back down, turning uncertainly at the sight of me.

"Easy there," I said, carefully stretching my servo out and petting its nose. It soon started calming down, snorting and leaning down for me. "You're beautiful," I mumbled.

More footsteps coming made me look past it. A human was coming toward us now. I'd never seen one in person before, but they looked like a femme, and an old one. As she came, the animal ran back to her and she embraced it in a hug.
