Long before the war, Soundwave and Megatron were gladiators in the pits of Kaon, and idols to a certain orphaned Cybertronian.

I ran down the crowded streets, dodging pedestrians and the multitude of shoppers that stood by the numerous stalls littering the already-packed road. I grunted as I squeezed through a small crowd and continued on my way, the towering arena coming into sight.

The courtyard in front of it was more open and everyone was more spread out. I smiled and jumped, my pedes shifting and transforming until they were replaced by the wheels in my calves, creating something similar to roller skates. Now that there was more space, it would be easier to use them.

I checked the watch on my arm and sped up, seeing as it was almost time. I swerved between mechs and around big groups, trying to get to the entrance as fast as I could.

I jumped again and switched back to my pedes, running through the huge archway and into the massive stadium. I ran up a few steps before I stepped back out into the open air. I looked down into the sandy pit to find it empty.

Smiling, I made my way through the crowd of mechs already gathered there, anxiously peering over the ledge dividing them from the seats below. I finally stopped next to two bots who were about a head shorter than me, both standing on boxes to see.

"It hasn't started yet, has it?" I asked the purple one closest to me.

"Nope," He said, looking at me with visored optics, "Should in a few minutes though."

"Thanks," I said, turning back to the pit and waiting with everyone else.

I, like most people here, loved this place. It was awesome to watch the gladiators fighting those huge monsters. It was so thrilling and exciting and had me on the edge of my seat every time.

I'd always been a huge fan of one of the strongest bots here, Megatronus, but a couple of weeks ago, a new competitor caught my attention and he'd shot right up in my ranks. He and Megatronus was the reason I'd rushed to get here. Watching them fight alone was cool but seeing them battle together was something else.

Yells next to me made me turn and look down. The two bots I just talked to were sprawled out on the ground. Seeing them now, I realized they were identical, except they were different colors. Three kids, older and taller than me stood over them and smirked.

The red one banged his fists on the ground and stood up.

He stomped over to the bully, his servos curled, "I'm sorry," He growled, "You got a problem with me?"

"Oh, my bad," The lead one said, not very apologetically, "Didn't see ya there. I guess you're just too below me."

I snorted, making all of them look at me. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I laughed, "But 'You're too below me"? What school do you go to 'cause I don't think they're teaching you proper grammar.'"

He sneered and walked over to me, "Listen here, kid," He spat, looking down at me, "I don't know who you think you are, but you don't want to cross me."

I rolled my optics, "Or what? You gonna beat me up?"

"You know what?" He said, cracking his knuckles as the other two came up by his sides, "I think we will."

The guy on his left ran at me and swung, to which I merely dodged and hit him in the side, making him stumble and fall. The second one tried a different tactic but like his friend, ended up sprawled on the ground.

"Wow," I said, looking at them, "Your fighting's as bad as your grammar."

He growled and took a swing at me. I dodged easily to the side before using my one arm to throw his into the air while my other punched him in the stomach.
