I wake up to see that I'm in a room on a small bed, y/n notices that I'm awake and rushes over hugging me.
"Welcome back you ugly shank," Minho says
A few feet away from me I see Jorge torturing the man from before, trying to get information about Marcus.
(Y/n's POV)
After we find out what we need to know we make our way in the car to a canyon land area. I hadn't been in a real car before so it was fun sticking my head out the window, we stopped at a group of crashed and abandoned cars
"Well I guess we're on foot," Jorge says we began to walk but stop when we hear gunshots coming towards us.
"Everyone get down!" I scream and we take shelter behind cars.
"Anyone know where those bloody shots came from?" Newt asks
Thomas and Jorge set up a bomb and right before it goes off.
"Drop it," a masked girl says pointing a gun at them.
They drop it, and everyone walks into a group. One of the girls hesitates.
"A-Aris?" She says
"Oh my god Harriet?" He says walking over to hug them.
"I was in the maze with them," he says and we follow them down the road to an area where cars are parked and a "camp" area was.
Suddenly Brenda falls to the ground and Jorge caught her, she kept repeating, "I'm sorry" over and over again. A man named Vince bends down and pulls up her leg sleeve to reveal the blue and black veins and bite wound on her leg.
"Oh my god," he says stumbling back
"They said you could help her," I say
"Yeah I can put her out of her misery," he says pulling out the gun
"NO NO NO," Jorge screams
"Wait! There has to be another way," Thomas screams
"There is," a dark haired woman suddenly says.
"Come on Thomas follow me," she says and he follows her, I quickly follow behind.
The woman explains how Thomas's blood was different and could help Brenda, but it would only suspend the symptoms as she would need more and more. The woman injected a blue serum into Brenda's arm.
"She'll be alright c'mon," I say, me and
Thomas then leave the tent so she can rest
Our group split up slightly, Aris talked to his friends while Brenda and Jorge sat by a fire, teresa and y/n climbed up a hill to hang out and Thomas, fry, newt, and Minho all sat on rocks while talking and laughing.
(Thomas's POV)
"Hey where's y/n?" I ask
"Up there with Teresa," fry says pointing up to y/n and Teresa. Teresa was sitting on a rock watching y/n doing cartwheels and laughing, I smiled at that.
"I'll be right back," I say walking up the hill to them.
"Hey Thomas," y/n says while in a handstand, she stood back up onto her feet and spun around to face me. She pecked my lips and pulled me into a slow dance.
"Your seem cheerful," I say smiling.
"I am," she says
"Hey can I talk to you guys about something," Teresa asks.
"Yeah sure," y/n says siting down.
Teresa pauses and takes a deep breath, "ok, I've been thinking, do you remember your mother because I remember mine," we both shake our heads but she continues, "she was beautiful everyone love her before WCKD she was all I had, then she got sick I didn't know what to do so I kept her locked up, hidden. She would scream every night then one night she just stopped, I went down to her room and there was blood everywhere... she took her eyes out." I stood there in fear, "million of people have stories like mine, so I hope you understand why I did it," she says
"Understand what?" I asked
"Why I did it," she says, suddenly two helicopter lights come out of the distance.
"Teresa what the hell did you do," I say in panic, me and y/n run down to try to reach camp, we run as fast as we can but the helicopters get there to early.
"No!" I scream as an explosion goes off. A panic starts. Guards start shooting at everyone and everyone get tased. Y/n goes to find Brenda but her tent was included in flames.
"Brenda!" She screamed but Brenda had come up behind them perfectly fine. We fault some more but eventually the solders had taken over and we were out numbered. They sit us all down and a large aircraft lands on the ground when it opens Ava Paige walks out and Teresa walks over to her. Guards start scanning people and reading off letters and numbers.
(Y/n's POV)
"Where's Thomas," janson yells out
"Right here," Thomas says walking over to them.
"Ah Thomas," he says before punching him hard in the stomach.
"Thomas!" I scream as he stumbles back and sits by me.
"Are you ok," I ask inspecting him.
"I'm fine are you," he asks
"Yes," I say
"Why didn't you run," Minho asks
"I'm tired of running," Thomas says, I grab his hand.
"Is this all of them?" Ava asks
"Most," janson replies.
Guards move people onto the ship and Ava places a hand on Teresa's back.
"I'm glade your safe," Ava says to Teresa.
"You trader!" I scream and janson smacks me across the face, Thomas pushes him hard and holds my cheek making sure I'm ok.
"I'm not a monster, I'm a doctor,"
They start pushing everyone to the ship when Thomas suddenly pulls out the bomb from earlier.
"Everyone step back," he yells holding it up.
"Let them go," he yells
"You know I can't do that," Ava says
"Think about what your doing Thomas, killing your friends?" Janson says. We all walk over to Thomas and I grab his hand pecking his lips.
"We're with you Thomas," newt says
"You can do it babe," I say
"No," teresa says
"Don't," Ava says
Thomas squeezes my hand, he hold up the button, and... a truck comes crashing through and honking. We look over to see Jorge driving towards us. He drives right into the helicopter and it explodes.
I watch as Minho, my best friend, is taken into the ship and flown away into the night sky.
"MINHO!" I scream.
