"Gally?" Minho says
"You guys are nuts," Gally says
"I'll explain later," I say.
We run to a hiding spot but newt had gotten weaker and weaker, now he was very weak. I get nervous for him.
"Hey how are you feeling," Minho asks newt
"Terrible, it's good to see you though," newt says, Minho goes over to Thomas and Gally to ask about newt so I take the time to help newt a little by fixing his shirt and hair, to comfort him and me.
"Your gonna be ok newt, I'm gonna make sure you get the serum, I promise," I say he smiles. Explosions go on all around us and fighting begins.
"Brenda!" I yell into the walkie-talkie
"Yeah," she says back
"We're not gonna make it you need to go," she starts laughing, "y/n don't worry I'm coming to you," I realize she has the berg.
"Just look for us at the tunnels" she says.
"Newt we're almost there," Gally says
"Just leave me," he says
"No!" I yell
We sit down hiding from the explosions.
"Y/n you have to run ahead and grab the serum," Thomas says to me
"No not without you-" I cuts me off by kissing me.
"Go we'll meet you half way," he says and I nod looking at newt.
"Thank you y/n," newt says
"Y-you're gonna be ok you hear me," I say teary eyed, I ruffle his hair and run off with Gally and Minho. Me Minho and Gally run up to the berg.
"Brenda the serum," I yell and she throws it to me, I start sprinting back, all the memories with newt rush through my head, he is one of my best friends, a brother. 'I can not lose newt'
"Y/n hurry," I hear Thomas on the walkie talkie,
"Is newt ok!?" I say
"No he's- ah- he's a crank," I hear him say.
"Run to us he'll follow you," I say.
I run faster, panic and ache in my heart. Suddenly I see Thomas being chased by a crank, newt.
"THOMAS MOVE," I scream he gets out of the way and I tackle newt. We fall to the ground and he pulls the gun out of my pocket pointing it up to his head.
"NOO!" I scream kicking it out his hand. He screeches and pushes me away. I was facing him now holding up the serum.
"Newt I'm trying to help," he runs at me and I inject the serum into his neck, his eyes clear before closing and falling to the ground.
A wave of relief washes over me, I walk up to Thomas and hug him. Minho and Gally catch up and go to his side. We did it he's safe.
"Y/n that will only last a little he needs my blood." Thomas says picking up a gun.
"No Thomas they will kill you," I say, he looks at me and pulls me in for a passionate kiss.
"It's ok," he says looking at me with tears
"I love you Thomas,"
"I love you too," and just like that we was out of my grip running off to WCKD. I think and decide that I can't let him die I run after him.
(Thomas's POV)
"Is it true," I ask holding a gun up and Ava Paige.
"Can I save newt," I ask
