As I ran upstairs and got into my room, I was thinking about what should I wear tonight. I was thinking of something casual, but not too casual. I showered quickly and styled my hair: I brushed it and let it fall naturally. When I was picking an outfit, my phone rang, indicating I got a message. I checked it, and it was from Jamie.

Jamie
Hey, I'm about to leave the hotel and
I realized that I don't have your address
Could you send it please? x

I sent him my address and went back to picking my outfit. I decided to wear a white top, a black skirt with black tights underneath, and a black jacket I had bought recently. I checked the time and it was 6:45; I had time to do my makeup. I put on some concealer, mascara and eyeliner. I was just finishing doing my makeup, when the doorbell rang. It had to be Jamie.

- I'll get it! - I shouted, hoping that my dad would hear me. It would've been so awkward if both of them saw each other.

I put on my black doc martens as quickly as possible, grabbed my purse and ran downstairs so I could open the door. But to my surprise, I found my dad and Jamie standing in the living room, talking to each other. They both looked at me as I walked down the last few steps.

- Hey - I said to both of them. Both of them seemed very pleased to see each other, and I felt like I was interrupting something.

- Hello - Jamie said to me with a smile.

He was wearing jeans, a gray shirt and a black leather jacket. His jacket was zipped and you could only see the first few buttons of his shirt. He looked very good.

- You look nice - my dad said to me.

- Thank you - I said back to him with a smile. - Should we get going? - I asked Jamie.

- Yeah, I made reservations for us. We don't want to be late - he said, looking at his watch. I must have been a few minutes past 7 now.

- You two kids have fun - my dad said to us as we walked to the door.

- Thank you. Bye dad - I said to him and kissed his cheek.

- Bring her home by 12 - my dad said joking, pointing at Jamie.

- Will do, sir - Jamie told him with a smile. - Goodbye -.

We both headed out of the house and there was a car parked outside.

- Is that yours? - I asked Jamie, pointing at the car.

- Nah, it's Alex's. I asked him if I could use it, well, for obvious reasons - he said as he unlocked the car.

He opened my door and closed it for me. Then he walked around it and got into the driver's seat.

- It's nice - I said is I looked to the back seats.

- It's not bad, but you should see the one that I have back home - he said, smiling just at the thought of his car.

He turned Alex's car on and began to drive us to the restaurant we were going.

- So, what kind of food are we eating? - I asked Jamie.

- Well, I didn't know what kind of food you liked - he said, shrugging. - So I booked a table for us at an Italian restaurant. I mean, who doesn't like Italian food? - he added, and I chuckled at that.

- Good point. I love Italian food - I replied. I remembered when I was around 7 years old, and I loved pasta so much that my dad had to cook some for me almost every day.

It was a silent but fast ride to the restaurant. The car was only filled with the music coming from the radio, where a CD from The Smiths was playing. Jamie parked the car, and we got out of it and walked towards the restaurant. It was a rather small place, with a neon sign on top of the door that read Italian restaurant. We walked inside and were greeted with a waiter.
