Anne walked into Gilbert's room

"Hey Anne! I'm so happy we can share a room not because I- no I'm not weird just beacuse we're freinds and ugh nevermind"

"It's alright gilbert" she smiled as she continued

"Oh um by the way I'm sorry"

"For what?"

"Running away on you"

"It's water under the bridge but Anne, do you like me?"

Anne froze she knew she loved gilbert but for some reason she said

"No, I am interested in another"

Gilbert was shocked by this but played cool

"Oh? Who?"

Anne had think and she had to think quick before she knew it she said

"Um billy Andrews"

Anne hated her self for what she had just said

"Ok I'm gonna go see Cole"

Gilbert left with his head low as Anne smacked her head with her palm

"Why Anne,why would you say billy Andrews of all people"

Gilbert was ready for bed when he saw Anne already asleep

He went over tucked her in, smiled softly, he looked at her as if she were the only person In the world, and he kissed her forehead softly

"I know you don't love me anne, but I'll never stop loving you" he whispered as he smiled once again and got into his own bed.

A few hours later giblert was awoken by soft cries as he looks to his left to see a crying, shaking Anne.

Immediately he jumps out of bed and sits on hers

"Anne are you okay? What's wrong?"

"Why am I here gilbert?"

Gilbert was cut off with a kiss he didn't stop it. He deepened it

"Wha- I thought you loved billy?"

"Can you sleep with me in my bed tonight so I don't have bad thoughts again?"

He smiled softly

"Anything for you anne-girl"

He kissed her forehead and they fell asleep together

The next morning everyone went down to greet the nes guests

Anne and gilbert laughed and went their ways then after breakfast every one went to the living room to see the guest

"Hey pretty girl, I'm roy, roy gardener"

Anne took back her hand and interlocked it with Gilbert's

"I'm anne with an E and this is ,my boyfriend, gilbert"

Roy got back up in discust he looked and gilbert

"Oh hello, you could do so much better" he whispered

Aunt Josephine stepped in

"Anne why don't you show roy his room and gilbert you take John (the older man) to his room?"

Anne walks upstairs with roy and shows him to his room
