Carter Arts University is a sitcom following the life of a sheltered Yarnise Jones as she attends the fictional college of the arts CA and the friends she meets along the way. She learns that there is more out there for her than music.
YARNISE JONES seventeen beautiful but that's not the ish interesting thing about her. stands in the airport and is hugging her parents and saying goodbye with one carry on bag on her shoulder.
CATHERINE- My baby call as soon as you land okay? I mean as soon as you land.
YARNISE- Ma I will I promise.
JONATHAN- Catherine let the girl go before she misses her flight.
He then hugs Yarnise and then sneaks a $100 bill into her pocket.
YARNISE- Daddy I'm fine you have done more than enough...and I know it was hard to even get me here.
JONATHAN- you don't worry about that you just worry about having a fun freshman year.
Yarni smiles.
JONATHAN- but not too much fun. No boys or partying or
YARNISE- anything a normal college girl does?
Jonathan laughs and hugs her again.
Catherine starts hysterical crying very loudly.
YARNISE- Ma.
CATHERINE- I'm sorry but my baby.
YARNISE- Ma this is embarrassing people are going to be looking at me see that I'm some geeky freshman getting in the plane for the first time.
JONATHAN- but you are.
YARNISE- Daddd.
Jonathan laughs.
YARNISE- okay I really gotta go...I love you guys.
Yarnise walks off and trips on her to the escalator.
YARNISE- I'm fine!
JONATHAN- she's going hurt herself before she makes it to the plane.
Catherine wiping her tears with a napkin nods.
INT. AIR PLANE -DAY
Yarnise arrives on the plane and begins looking for her seat.
YARNISE-(reading her ticket) E15
DAVID JOHNSON very tall handsome but nerdy is putting his bags over top of his seat. He over hears Yarni.
DAVE- oh that's right here!
Not paying attention he drops his bags.
DAVE- Bro my MacBook is in there.
Yarni picks up his bag.
YARNISE- here.
Dave looks over at her and has heart eyes immediately.
DAVE- wow you smell nice like really nice like some type of soap.
YARNISE- huh?
DAVE- I mean no of course you sue soap you you're beautiful and seem like a clean person not that ugly people don't seem clean...I mean not that I call people ugly because everyone is beautiful in there own way...I'm rambling? I do that a lot when I'm nervous...not that you make me nervous I mean no- um....I'm Dave.
Yarnise laughs.
YARNISE-I'm Yarni.
