KATHERINE HUDSON POV...

I groaned feeling sore all over my body, I open my eyes slowly and realized I slept on the cold floor of Egor's room. After brutally abusing me last night, I passed out and I guess he pushed me to the floor.

I stand up and I wince as pain evaporated through me. I look down at my naked body in the mirror and I fought the urge to puke, I have scars all over my body scars he caused. How easy life would have been if Roddy and I were still together, but Roddy is happily married now with two kids, who am I to have such thoughts regarding him when he is Happy. I miss them, if only I could go back to time when we were in high school, I would surely do so.

After putting on his bath robe, I go into my room with my Dishevel hair and few seconds later a knock was heard on the door. It can't be Nadia, she already went to school shit what if it's the monster?.

"Ma Katherine"

I breath a sigh of relief and opened the door "Yes?"

He smiles "I brought you breakfast and pain Killers"

He heard my cries last night? I tried hard to muffle my sobs but it was too painful to hold it back in.

"Thank you" I said taking the tray from him.

"Ma, if you need anyone to talk to I am here"

I force a smile "It's best not to get involved with me, you wouldn't want to get on the bad side with your don"

And with that I shut the door, I place the tray on the table before going into the bathroom. I showered and got dressed before going back and sit down.

How I wish that everything could be how it was, the first day we got to persia.

FLASHBACK

My mouth Gap opens as we got to the mansion which will be our home from now on, Egor was busy talking with the people who welcomed us but I was memorized by the interior design of the place.

"Katherine"

I turn around to face him "It's really beautiful here"

"You will get to have a tour of the place, for now go in and get some rest with Nadia"

I frowned "What about you Egor? You just got back from such a long flight, you need to rest"

He cups my face "Ivan entrusted this place to me, I can't fail him"

"But..

He cuts me off with a kiss "I will come soon, I need to check on the warehouse. Just go in and settle, Nadia needs to sleep properly

"Okay, I love you. Be home soon and stay safe"

He doesn't respond to 'i love you' and I never expected him to. I know for a fact that he loves me but he is probably afraid to say it, he kisses Nadia's forehead before getting into the waiting car and it drives off.

PRESENT DAY

How long do I have to pretend that everything is okay? Coming to Persia was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I need a break from everything, away from the mafia world.

I pick up my phone and dial Roddy's number, he picks up on the third ring.

"Hey Kathy, sorry for picking up late I was having a shower"

I clear my throat "Its okay. Have you heard from Cole?"

"Yeah, he came over a week ago. Why don't you give him a call? I am sure he would want to hear from you"
