Kash's POV

"Come on just give me a big smile, it's christmas kash" Kylie said squishing my face with her free hand while holding stormi on her right hip.

I looked at her then stormi "Stormi make him smile" and with that stormi reached out for me

"Kay Kay?" stormi pouted as i looked at her and took in her features that were forming each day

"Yes stormi?" I hummed holding her.

"Why aren't you smiling it's christmas" she held her same pout but soon folded her arms in a disappointed manner.

I stared at her before placing her down "Stormi i want you to always keep your shine okay don't let grown ups ever ruin that even when you become one okay but sometimes when you grow up christmas doesn't feel the same or any holiday"

She looked up at me "what do you mean?"

"I mean don't grow up to fast" i said tickling her as she giggled and i smiled

I felt a flash go off and looked up seeing kylie had taken a picture of the moment

"STORMI YOU DID IT BABY YOU GOT HIM TO SMILE" she yelled excitedly

"Stormi you look just like mommy baby" i mocked the viral tiktok

She stopped her celebration

"I might've liked it better when you were the grinch" she rolled her eyes walking off holding her hand out for stormi to take

"Let's go bub we gotta get you ready to go to koko's house and open gifts" stormi took her hand and walked off

" You better be ready" she turned around and said to me before going upstairs.

"Women so demanding" i sighed

"SHUT UP!" I heard Stormi and Kylie yell from upstairs.

I walked outside and sat by the edge of the freshly cleaned pool and took a deep breath, laying back i watched the birds flock together and the clouds move feeling somewhat at peace

"Life." i thought

My peace was soon interrupted when I felt my phone buzzing. It was Auni with a butterfly by her name because she loved those.

I pressed the green button immediately.

"Merry Christmas baby" she said smiling as soon as she seen my face appear

Her smile soon turned into a frown as soon as she seen i wasn't the slightest of happy seeing her

"Auni, where are you and Nov?" I asked , looking around the background noticing it looked nothing like California.

"About that baby i don't think it's best for us to come right now" she said frowning

"Why did i do something" i said feeling my eyes start to water

"Kash i just think i shouldn't be there" she said sighing

Staring at the phone I began to get angry which was not good for either of us.

"Auni this isn't about you this is about my son not everything is about fucking you" i sneered wiping my eyes.

It's like a switch flipped inside his head.

"Kash, don't you ever talk to me like that, okay baby?" she smiled

"Okay" i gave in something i've always done

"I just dont think it's the best time for neither of us" she said running her hands through her curls

"Auni please" i once again started to tear up " it's christmas" i choked out.
