LIFE AND DEATH; without one, there cannot be the other. For some people, life is short; but each and every person lives it like all the rest, even if it's just for a moment. For others, life is much longer, and to be happy they don't ever try to take advantage of the worst outcomes, even if it brings them down in the end.
However, the second we are born is the second we begin to die. As a child, we live life and don't ever wonder why. As we grow, it gets tougher and we can't do anything but learn to accept it.
Like everything else, a life will come to an end, and we'll have to say goodbye to the things we once knew; whether it's twenty years or one hundred-twenty years, we live it with a purpose that has reason just as the rest.
