Scarlet had woken before Lumen for the first time ever.
The excitement had jolted through him and shocked him awake. He was finally at Beacon!
But first, before any classes, he had to go and meet his new teammate.
Ozpin had told him to report to his office by 9 am sharp. It was 8 am now meaning he had plenty of time. No, 'They' had plenty of time, he thought an evil smile on his face as he turned to Lumen, still asleep.
Picking a pillow up he slowly approached him, ready to pounce.
"Don't you dare strike me with that pillow" grumbled Lumen, eyes still closed.
"Well get up," Scarlet said "We have an hour to get some early morning training in!"
Grumbling Lumen rolled out of bed, literally falling out and slamming into the wood floor.
"Ouch," he groaned before getting up and hobbling to get changed.
After 10 minutes of Scarlet hurrying him, Lumen was ready to train.
The two headed downstairs into the main courtyards just on the outside of the campus next to a small redwood forest.
The training areas were like long tennis courts without nets and were marked with a large starting circle on either end.
Scarlet ran through a bunch of warm-ups, stretches, and small exercises to wake his and Lumen's bodies up fully.
After a while, they then pulled out their blades and started sparring with one another. The sound of metal clanging through the morning air.
It was like a ritual for them, minimal words exchanged as they trained other than the small taunts Scarlet through (part of Lumen's mental training to hold his anger).
When it was close to 9 am they stopped and took a break.
Scarlet took a chug from the water flask he had brought along draining it completely.
"Have some fluids and a rest dude, I gotta head to Ozpins to meet and greet our new teammate"
Lumen nodded taking a swig from his own flask "I'ma keep going, I will meet you guys at the dorm when I'm done"
Scarlet gave him a thumbs up and strolled away heading to the Headmaster's office.

Scarlet strolled into Ozpins office keen to meet his new teammate and possible new friend.
What he didn't expect to see was the Turqouise-haired Frost Prick.
"You!" Both of them said pointing at each other aggressively.
"No way, I ain't helping this stuck-up prick," Scarlet said straight away.
"You have met?" Ozpin said a small humorous smile on his face.
"Yeah this scum thought he had the right to run into me and disrupt my orders," The Frost Prick said. Scarlet clenched his fist ready to throw hands.
"Trillium and Scarlet, I'd appreciate it if you would mind your tone here," Ozpin said a little sternly.
Both boys went still and then nodded.
"Fine, let us try this again," Scarlet said holding out a hand "Scarlet Fenix"
"Trillium Frost, and maybe I marginally overreacted" Trillium replied taking his hand and shaking it quickly. Even his apology was prick worthy.
"Scarlet, I would like you to show Mr. Frost here around the campus, then introduce him to your brother so they can get acquainted too," Ozpin said.
Scarlet nodded and with a sigh said "Come on Frosty let's head out"
"Don't call me that"
"Whatever Frosty lets go"

I could sense the eyes on my back.
I had been training alone, mainly practicing breathing techniques, and some form of Mind Calming I had picked up a while ago. Good for centering yourself in battle and controlling emotions.
I was sitting still and breathing when I felt the presence of being watched.
I stood and turned slowly facing the woods behind.
Nothing was there, or at least I couldn't see anything.
"Reveal yourself" I demanded "I don't like sly people"
A large figure stepped out from behind a tree.
He was a tall young man, probably around my age, he wore a long black trench coat with Dust Capsules lining the inside, black boots, a red shirt, and brown cargo pants. A brown-brimmed hat, almost like a cowboy's, was placed on top of his head trying its best to cover the long dark brown curly hair. Dark brown eyes with a hint of gold in them stared into my face as he grinned at me.
"Quite the observant type," he said his voice rough but still young.
"I like to keep my wits about" I replied. As he stepped closer into the clearing I noticed the large metal War hammer strapped to his back. Were those rocket silos in the hammer's head?!
"Look mate you seem like the smart type," the young man said taking another step forward.
"So I ain't gonna hide my goal here, I'm here to kill ya for a bounty".
So the White Fang still had it out for me, that raid I pulled a few weeks back probably didn't help my cause much.
"Well I'm afraid that's not gonna happen," I said slowly pulling one of my blades from my back sheath "Cause I have a record for defeating anyone who tried"
"So I have heard," the guy said, pulling his own hammer from his back. It extended to its full length, a small engine igniting at its back as if used to increase the swing speed. "However I ain't your standard Merc or Assassin, I'm the Second for the Celestial Hunters"
I chuckled "Did you give the team that name?" he snarled at me.
"At least give me your name, and don't try lying with some fake crap 'cause I will know," I said readying for his oncoming attack that I could see him preparing a stance for.
"Eclipse," he said starting his charge "And this will be the last face you see!"
