"Go ahead." Lexus lightly pushes Nathaniel to go inside the clinic.
"Are you not going in?" Nathaniel asks.
"Cassey is already there. She will help you with anything."
Nathaniel holds the door knob then looks at Lexus.
"Okay. Thanks."
"One more thanks and I'll kiss you~"
Nathaniel's eyes widened.
Lexus giggles and walks to the nearby smoking area.
He was smoking his cigarette when he received a call from his dad.
"Whoa,that's unusual."
Lexus never received a call from his father unless it's an emergency.
He looks at the closed clinic door.
"Guess anything about the real heir is an emergency huh..Dad."
He presses the phone accepting the call.
"Hello Dad."
"What are you doing?"
Lexus rolls his eyes.
He used to hate hearing his dad's angry voice. He lives thinking how he can make him recognize him.
'I guess if I can be reborn as his real son maybe in this lifetime it's just never.'
"I'm just strolling around. Do you need me for something?"
There's silence on the other side.
"Let me rephrase that. Why are you with Rebecca?"
Lexus chuckles sarcastically.
Then he paused to irritate the guy on the other side of the call.
"So you really know everything. Does Mom know?"
"Do not play with fire Lexus."
"I don't." Lexus snorts. "Dad knows your mistress and son are alive but you do nothing to reach out and help them. Isn't that too much even for you?"
"I don't need to explain to my child what my plan is."
Lexus felt a bit of pain in that sentence. Maybe because Lawrence doesn't know that he knows they are not related that's why he said that but now he knows the word 'my child' cuts deeper than it should be.
Lexus sighs.
"I'm helping Nate whatever you say. Feel free to tell mom about me." He said and turned the call down.
"Lex,"
Lexus turns around seeing Nathaniel holding a bottle of water.
"Is the check up over? How's auntie?"
"Not yet. I just went out to buy water. Are you alright?"
Lexus smiles bitterly.
"Dad called."
"Yeah."
"Do you want to see him?"
".....I met him before."
"What?"
Nathaniel put one bottled water in Lexus' hand and then lean on the rails.
"When I graduate in Middle school. I didn't want to talk to him but he said he'll talk to mom instead if I refuse."
