'WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE ESCAPED??!?!?!?' growled the Mouse King. The two mice wearing armors in front of him flinched at his yelling.
'I think they mean exactly that. That the nutcracker and Pretty Boy escaped' grinned Pimm the bat, hanging from the chandelier upside down. He already knew this won't end up any good for the two mouse soldiers.
'How could you be such losers that you let a wooden toy slip out of your hands??!' shouted the Mouse King at the two. They didn't say a word, but they didn't even need to because the next second the Mouse King waved his magic wand in the air, and the two mice petrified there and then, becoming two stone statues.
'You're so cold-hearted, Your Highness' complimented Pimm. The Mouse King just growled at him too and went back to the table where a pile of books were scattered.
'This is the only information I found about this Sugarplum Prince' he pointed at one of the books and read it out loud. 'Kind, smart and beautiful. And that's it! It's basically nothing! He could be anywhere!'
'I suggest we stop the nutcracker before he would find this Sugarplum Prince' suggested Pimm. He let go of the chandelier with his legs and started floating dizzily in air, almost crashing into a stone pillar. The Mouse King was about to tell him not to crash into anything when his eyes landed on the pillar.
'That's actually a good idea, Pimm' he murmured and raised the magic wand once again.
All Pimm heard was a huge crashing sound from behind him. As he landed on the ground clumsily and looked back, he was terrified to see that the pillar behind him collapsed into huge pieces. Then the pieces started moving by themselves and stood together, forming a several meters tall stone giant. The bat screeched and hid behind another pillar.
'What even is this?' he asked. The king smirked.
'Rock Giant, my new loyal servant! Go and find the nutcracker. I don't need him alive anymore. Step on him, break him, kill him!' he shouted. The giant let out a loud growl that echoed in the castle's throne room before he turned around and went towards the door, simply knocking it down and walking outside with huge, earthquake-like steps.
'Pimm!' shouted the king, snapping the bat out of his trance. He landed in front of the king on the floor. 'Watch out for him' said the Mouse King gesturing after the giant.
'Me? Why me? You want me to babysit a rock?' whined Pimm. The Mouse King glared at him and gestured towards the two previously petrified servants. Pimm gulped, knowing he could end up like them in a second. 'Ooookay, it's better than being a statue I guess' he said quickly and clumsily emerged from the ground, following the rock giant outside.
