Drowning

Stu macher never learned how to swim, his parents never had time to show him and he didn't want to burden his friend's about it ,so he never ask them to teach him how to swim

It's why he always turns down pool party's but this time ,Tatum had dragged him to a pool party

He sat by the pool but he never got in even if his friend's were encouraging him to jump in

Randy swam over to him "You're not coming in?" randy questioned and stu shook his head

"I don't feel like swimming today" stu lied ,it seemed kinda fun and he wanted to swim with everyone else and have fun

"Are you sure?" Randy questioned and stu nodded "okay" randy swam away and stu sigh

"Hey stu!" Stu looked up and saw his friend's from the football team "oh hey guys " he greeted

"Not gonna jump in?" Geroge questioned gesturing towards the pool "don't feel like swimming " stu replied

"You know..we never seen you at pool party's before,what made you come to this one?" Rory questioned "Tatum dragged me to this one " stu said

Stu wasn't sure what happened next, he was talking to his friend's and the next thing he knew he was in the water struggling to stay up

Stu was panicking as he went under the water ,he tried to hold his breath but his body needed air

Randy and Tatum were inside talking when they heard yelling and shouts from outside

They both shared a glance "what the hell is going on" Tatum said as they rushed outside

"Shit..it was just a joke!we didn't know he couldn't swim !" Someone yelled
"What are you talking about!?what's going on!?" Tatum shouted

"We pushed stu into the pool, we didn't know he couldn't swim" rory confessed Tatum eye's widen but she didn't hesitate to dive right into the pool

Randy was right behind her both swimming towards their unconscious friend ,Tatum grabbed stu from one side while randy grabbed him from the other side and they both swam upwards and gasp for air as soon as they were up

They dragged stu out of the pool and laid him on the ground "is he breathing!?" Randy panicky asked and Tatum pressed her ear against stu's chest listening for a heartbeat

Her heart stilled as she couldn't find none "he..he's not breathing!I can't hear his heartbeat!,someone call an ambulance !" Tatum yelled before pressing her hand's over stu's chest

"What are you doing?" Randy asked "giving him CPR, I am not letting him die ,not my bestfriend "Tatum told him before starting compressions

She didn't know how long she did it for but soon enough stu coughed water out and Tatum let out a sob of relief before turning stu to his side so he can throw up the rest of the water

"Oh man,you had us thinking you were gone for good ,God I am so glad I am not the one to tell billy about this" randy said and most of the kid's around instantly paled and gave the stu's friend's a pitying look

"Randy" Tatum hissed out glaring at him "what?he scares me" randy said and stu let out a small chuckle taking deep breaths

"Oh man, I should've just told everyone that I didn't know how to swim" stu said "Why didn't you!?Jesus ,I was so scared!I thought I lost you!" Tatum said punching his arm

"Ow"stu rubbed his arm with a small little pout as sirens were heard in a distance "I'm sorry"

"You don't need to apologize,but I am not the one who's gonna explain this too billy" she said and stu let out a small whine "he's gonna kill me"

Randy let out a small laugh "yeah,he is buddy, good luck" randy patted his arm as paramedics came and Tatum explain everything

"So..your telling me that you don't know how to swim and you went to a pool party and got thrown into the pool as a joke ,you drowned and temporarily died but Tatum brought you back and your in the hospital " billy looked at stu who sheepishly smiled at him

"Look on the bright side babe, Tatum knew CPR" stu said and billy let out a deep sigh,shaking his head

"You could've died today stu" billy told him and stu looked down "why didn't you tell any of us that you didn't know how to swim?we could've taught you" billy said

"I didn't want to feel like a burden billy, I'm 17 years old ,I should know how to swim ,I shouldn't have to ask my friend's to teach me to swim" stu told billy

"You will never be a burden stu, you could've come to me and I'm sorry that I made you feel like you couldn't come to me ,you know if you want me to I can teach you how to swim " billy said

Stu smiled at billy "really?" Billy nodded "yeah and I promise you that you will not be a burden " billy told him

"Okay,but do you know CPR?" Stu questioned and billy blinked staring at him

"We might want to have Tatum with then"

"I'm not gonna let you drown"

"Just in case"
