Ann was so stunned she couldn't react. But she didn't stay still for long as a strange tingly feeling went through her whole body. Suddenly she found herself kissing Stacey back. When Stacey felt Ann's lips move underneath hers, she couldn't help but intensify the kiss. At that, the feeling of being in a daze that Ann had felt earlier in the kitchen returned to her. She felt her knees buckle underneath her and she leaned more against Stacey placing her arms around her shoulders.

Stacey wrapped her arms around Ann's waist, holding her tighter. At the feel of Stacey's warm body pressing against hers, Ann couldn't help but moan into their kiss. Suddenly Stacey pulled away. The look of determination she had was now replaced with confusion. They just stood there staring at each other, catching their breaths. Then Stacey seemed to regain her composure. She straightened up and said to Ann:

-"did you predict that?"

But it didn't come out as confident as she wanted it to. Stacey quickly opened the closet door and walked out before Ann could say anything. As soon as she was outside she was accosted by Kate and her friends.

-"what happened? We saw you from across the room pushing Ann into the closet."

-"what?" asked Stacey in surprise, then she quickly regained herself. "oh, yeah. I was euh giving her a piece of my mind!"

-"way to go girl!" cheered her friends.

-"yeah! I showed her!" she said forcefully, feigning anger. "ok, I have to go now." She added as she walked towards the door."

-"What? Why? Stay a bit, Stace!" and they walked after her.

Ann had overheard everything and a small malicious smile formed on the corner of her lips.

'this is not over yet.' she thought.

That night Stacey lay wide awake in bed. The events of that evening kept replaying over and over again in her head. She couldn't believe she had done that. After Ann had provoked her in the kitchen, she suddenly had the idea of proving to her how unpredictable she could be. She had planned to give Ann a quick kiss, say that line she had prepared, and walk out on her with the last word. What she hadn't planned on was Ann kissing her back. She lost it then and gave herself up to the kiss. When she had heard a moan she got startled and got back to her senses. Did that come from Ann or her? 'cause she had already moaned when Ann had kissed her in the kitchen and she couldn't believe she could lose control so easily.

'it must be stress. I haven't been feeling like myself lately and I'm just tired. And it's all over now anyways. So I might as well get it out of my head.' Thought Stacey, but not fully convinced.

The next morning Stacey woke up against her will. She hadn't slept at all last night, but she had already promised her old neighbour Mrs. Cooper to take her to the picnic her bridge club had planned for that Sunday. Stacey didn't mind accompanying Mrs. Cooper at all. She usually ran errands for her and loved to hang out with her. She grabbed a book off the shelf to pass the time just in case the old ladies proved to be too much for her. She borrowed the family car and went to pick up Mrs. Cooper. In a few minutes they arrived to this meadow bordering the forest. Others had already arrived and they had already set up plastic tables and chairs. Stacey helped set up the rest of the stuff. She was sitting at a table with Mrs. Cooper and some of her friends when suddenly Mrs. Cooper said:

-'Agnes! You're here! I thought you still weren't feeling well."

-"I know, but my niece dragged me out of bed. And I'm glad she did. What a lovely day." replied Agnes, then she turned to Stacey and gave her a warm smile.
