Direwolves

Preparation is being made to face off against the direwolves threat. A wooden fence was made all over the village with sharpened stakes in front of them.

Weapons are also not forgotten to be gathered. A number of spears, bows, and arrows were gathered and equally handed out to those who can fight. Rimuru also heal their wounded so we had more firepower even though I doubt this number can do anything if something went wrong.

The elder even said that it took 10 goblins to kill a direwolves. Our numbers clearly show how disadvantaged we are. 60 goblins plus a slime and a beastwoman up against 100 direwolves. I hope Rimuru's plan will work

That night

Howling can be heard since........ 8 o clock I guess? While waiting, I talk to Miria for a bit

Suddenly, we heard a loud howl. We look towards the hill and saw the direwolves are ready to attack. I took a bow with a few arrows and took my position.

Hey Miria

[Yes?]

Rimuru then looks back to check the defenses for the last time and saw Akemi's blue eyes turn to red

"What the....... No time to think about that right now"

Akemi then moves her body for a bit before saying

"Archers! Remember one thing! Do not shoot your arrow until you guarantee can hit them"

"YES MAAM"

Akemi then pulls her bow follow by others when the direwolves launch their attack. She fired an arrow hitting a wolf making it trample over before pulling it again and releasing another arrow hitting another wolf. The goblin aren't opening fire yet because the distance is still huge while Akemi is taking them one by one at far range

When Akemi ran out of arrows, the wolf immediately run faster but meet a barrage of arrows from the goblins. But they quickly run out of arrows and some of them are closing in before meeting with Rimuru steel threads. Those who manage to get through reached the fences but ultimately were shredded by spears.

Seeing their attack fail, the alpha wolf immediately rushes forwards destroying the steel threads before getting entangled by Rimuru thread. Rimuru then kills it before absorbing its body and turning himself into a wolf

"Now you had to choose. Submit or die!"

Akemi then hit her forehead when her eye turns back to blue and said

"That's a provocation. Why even said like that?!"

Rimuru then let out a loud howl which of course,

MY EARS!!!

I don't know what happened but when the howl had stopped, the direwolves had already submitted. Didn't expect that but if it works, it works

Next day

Rimuru gathers all of the goblins and direwolves to give a speech. Behind him is the elder and me. This gives me some flashbacks went I use to accompany my father on some business and I usually stand behind him when he is sitting down

Rimuru then stated that they will live in pairs, don't look down on other races, not attack humans, and do not attack unless for self-defense

He also stated that we needed to gather food, clothing, and shelter plus he also name all of the goblins until he ran out of magicules and was forced to hibernate
