"What? No romance?" Becky's tongue got stuck to the roof of her mouth from the dryness setting in. She tried to help Freen by keeping herself upright, but when that didn't work the taller beauty simply dumped the smaller girl unceremoniously on the couch. A moment later Freen was back at Becky's side with a tall glass of cold water and some aspirin. A fluffy blanket was soon draped over the younger one.

"I don't do romance, kid." Freen had the tiniest chuckle, but it was still unmistakably there.

"Stop doing that..." Becky commented as she messed water over most of herself, trying to swallow the aspirin.

"Doing what? Saving your ass?" Freen raised both brows in a foux show of intimidation.

"Calling me kid..." Becky mumbled into her pillow and off she went. Freen watched unabashedly as Becky slipped into a deep slumber. And this was the first time Freen truly gave herself the opportunity to notice Becky - to really notice her. It was more than just her unplaced beauty, the way her eyes pulled into slits when she smiled and how those dimples dipped down her cheeks just to give them that extra attractive angle. It was also about her warmth that radiated from deep within and her clear willingness to hand it out to all that would have it. She was a little sunflower growing through the cracks of the concrete that is the world.

"Jeez Freen, what did you do? I did NOT sign up for accomplice to murder when we became best friends!" Nam whisper-shouted from the corridor. She was both Freen's best friend, as well as her (regrettably) roommate.

"Shhh, you'll wake her. It's a long story. I'll tell you tomorrow." Freen patted Nam on the shoulder as she walked past her to go get comfortable in her own bed.

Becky woke up groaning, the splitting headache caused by the yanked open curtains causing her heart to beat through her temples.

"Morning sunshine!" Freen grinned sarcastically at Becky as she ripped another curtain open. "It's your lucky day! Now, I have to get to work, but Nam - my roommate, is only leaving at 10am. Now considering I usually kick a conquest out before I hit the shower, I'll give you some special leeway." Freen is making self-satisfied jokes as she watches Becky's blushing face turn to confusion.

"Conquests, huh?" Becky scowled slightly and swallowed. "You'll never call me that."

Something inside Freen's head switched at that moment. It was a jolt of electricity that electrified every cell in her body. Freen is not used to being challenged. Freen gets what Freen wants.

Freen swallowed hard, as if she got caught with the proverbial cookie down her throat. A change of subject was definitely needed. "Anyway... There are clean towels in the bathroom and I left you some clean clothes on my bed that I thought might fit you. I'll admit, you're pretty tiny." The slightest blush tinged Freen's cheeks.

"Thank you, I appreciate all you've done for me. I can't possibly infringe any further. Becky lifted her hands to her forehead with grateful eyes.

"No worries, it will be me you'll be infringing upon as Freen is leaving." The beauty moved with easy grace as she slid towards Becky in her satin robe. "I'm Nam, the roommate. Join me for breakfast or I'll be terribly bored."

Becky attempted one last glance of desperation at Freen before the smirking goddess slipped through the door, albeit not before Becky being utterly fixated on Freen's white button-up and black blazer. She was all style and business compared to last night's bartending ass-kicking leather digs.
