I woke up from the sound of people yelling and arguing. Not much time went by before I decided to get out of bed and check it out. I was far from surprised when I saw Emilia and Mr. V arguing with Vincenza.

Obviously I wasn't the only one intrigued, noticing a few others standing around the three. I sat half way up the steps to avoid any physical altercation soon to come.

"You owe me $500,000. And what you lack in cash you can pay in grams." Mr. V spoke. "I don't owe you shit. Now both of you need to get the fuck away from my property." Vincenza responded.

"Vincenza, come on now. Don't start another war between us. It won't end well for you." Mr. V smiled evily.

"I really don't care. You said that last time but who's the one on top, living in luxury, untouched. Me. Ladies, escort them out please." Vincenza voiced confidently. Four of the women who helped guard the house grabbed Emilia and Mr. V.

"I made you who you are." Mr. V claimed. "You didn't. But how's it feel to see me outshine you in everything?" Vincenza smiled.

"You're not as good as you think you are." Emilia finally opened her mouth. "Emilia shut the fuck up. You're next." Vincenza spoke.

"Actually Saanvi is. She has no self defense whatsoever. You won't even let her see a dead body. Oh, hey Saanvi. Didn't see you there." Emilia smiled at me. Everyone then turned to look at me. I rolled my eyes at her comment.

"I will burn down every property you own until I get my shit!" Mr. V raised his voice.

Vincenza ignored his comments as she began walking up the stairs. She stopped and looked at me for a split second. I looked away, confused on what to do. She let out a sigh while walking past me.

Night seemed to be the only time I was starting to get peace and quiet.

I was reading a magazine I was given earlier by one of the housekeepers. Suddenly I heard a noise, not too far from outside my window. A bright light began to grow and shine through my window.

Confused, I walked over to my window. I froze immediately as I realized the tree inches from the window on fire. My mind went completely blank momentarily.

"Oh my god." I kept repeating as I slowly gained my fight or flight responses. It was late. I knew everyone must've been sleep. I left my room in a hurry.

I couldn't help but to stutter when I saw the guards. They couldn't make out what I was trying to say. I ran up to Vincenza's room. I yelled her name repeated while banging on her room door.

Her door swung open within seconds. "What? What? What?" Vincenza grabbed my arms with concern. "The...the...tr- tree..." I stuttered. "What about the tree? Saanvi what's wrong?" she questioned.

"Fi-it's a f-" I panicked. "The tree's on fire?" Vincenza asked. I nodded my head yes. She immediately ran downstairs. I followed behind her. Vincenza turned the sprinklers on before looking out all of the windows.

She had to be looking for someone. "Vin we're under attack!" one of Vincenza's men came running in, already armed.

Just then multiple bullets came flying through the windows. "Get down!" someone yelled. Vincenza pushed me down, getting on top of me. The bullets continued and seemed as if they would never end. The sound of the glass and windows breaking made me jumpy.

I screamed as a big piece of glass feel straight down on my arm, immediately breaking through my skin.

I continued to scream in pain as the blood rolled down my arm. Vincenza placed something in my mouth. "Bite." she demanded. I did as told.
