Bon fire

We headed toward the bon fire where neytiri and Jake were. I went and sat on a log watching neytiri prepare the food, not even a few minutes later the rest joined sitting down, kiri sat next to me on my right while neteyam sat at my left. Tuk sat right next to Jake and started talking about the fun she had today

Neytiri looked at me "y/n and kiri come help me prep the dinner" kiri and I both got up walking to neytiri, both of us sitting down as we started to prep the food.

I passed neytiri the food and so did kiri. Kiri looked at me smirking "soo.." she nudged me "did you guys you know.. progress?"

You shook your head "I might as well move on"

"You say that every time but you always come to me whenever he does something"

Neytiri's ears went back "is this about a boy?" She looked at me

"Oh uh no it's uh"

Neytiri gave a small smirk "I was young once too y/n I know that look."

"I-it's nothing like that plus I'm sure he doesn't like me back soo.. but I do need advice..." I paused
"in this situation what would you do if you liked someone and they didn't like you back ma'am" my ears went back I felt rude asking a question like this

"Well." She thought to herself "maybe it is best if you move on, only because why try if they are not gonna give you the time of day. Unless."

"Unless?.." I tilted my head

"Well you decide to be patient and wait" she patted your head

"I mean I guess your right but I don't know if I should wait."

"Then you should tell him or move on." She finished wrapping the food "and who is this boy that you like y/n"

"Uh it's just this boy from the village." You lied

"Mhhhm. You sure it isn't aonung."

My jaw dropped "ewww gross!" I exclaimed "never ever in a million years"

Neytiri and kiri giggled together "I'm just kidding" neytiri had a small grin

I let out a nervous chuckle "eheh..." I looked down finishing prepping the food

"Alright you two helped enough go sit." I went back to the log only to see neteyam had went to talk to Jake, and lo'ak had joined us "dude you good?" I asked him as I sat down next to him

"I'm fine" he was pissed off

"Why are you here then.."

"I don't wanna talk about it okay." He scratched his neck upset

"Argument?" I asked

He nodded his head he looked mad

I frowned seeing him upset I had to say something "hey lo'ak completely off topic but remember when you shoved that mushroom up your nose when you were 12"

He rolled his eyes giving me a small smirk "remember when you burnt your tail at the bonfire last week" he snickered

"I didn't even know that it was lit" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms chuckling I softly pushed his arm

"It was hilarious you should've seen your face" he laughed more

"Yeah yeah" I sighed

He softly pushed my shoulder "hey you asked for it"

"I know I did lightbulb head"

"Hey!" He felt taken aback "ever since you found out what that was and what it looked like you kept calling me that."

"Duh cause you look like a blue one" I started laughing holding my stomach

"Yeah yeah."

Lo'ak looked over to me with a serious face

I looked at him "come on get it off your chest" I knew something else was up

"How do I know if..someone doesn't love me anymore."

My heart completely dropped "well.." I had no idea what happened between him and Tsireya but I just know what he was going through was horrible

"You can tell by their actions and how they treat you" I scratched my neck

"And what if.. you don't love them anymore like before."

My eyes glanced over to neteyam, he was talking to Jake about something then looked back

"You don't get the same feeling of wanting to be with them when your around them."

He looked down his ears going down

"Look lo'ak whatever it is that you're going through it's gonna be okay." I gave him a hug

Neteyams pov

I watched as y/n took lo'ak into a hug. I don't know why but I felt jealous I mean she's my best friend not his. But that's totally normal to feel towards friends right. My dad saw me looking over to them

"Hey focus."

He snapped me out my thoughts as I looked back at him "sorry sir." I saw he made a confused expression

"Why were you looking over there."

"No reason I just-"

"Neteyam" he stopped me mid sentence

"It's just her hugging my brother caught me off guard. That's all"

My dad stayed quiet slightly tilting his head thinking about what to say.

"Okay." He looked at me

I sighed

"Now back to what I was saying."

Y/n's pov

I let go of the hug feeling a weird vibe coming from some where, I don't know why

"Thank you y/n" he lifted his head up giving me a sympathetic smile "so how about you and that guy from the village."

Oh right I told him that lie not wanting it to get awkward "uh oh Uhm!" I let out an awkward laugh looking to the side "well uhm."

Lo'ak looked at me confused "well?"

How exactly do I get out of this situation, then suddenly Tuk came up to me "hey look I drew this for you y/n!" She smiled handing me a piece of paper. It just looked like random scribbles

"Aww tuk I love it so much." I smiled

Neteyam walked over toward us and sat in the middle separating me and lo'ak

"What are you guys talking about." He puffed his chest trying to seem intimidating

Kiri looked at him "don't do that you look dumb." She yawned

"I did not do anything" he huffed

I chuckled finding it adorable

He looked over to me smiling "what? What is it?"

"It's nothing 'mighty warrior' "

He chuckled smiling at my nickname I gave him
