He chuckled smiling at my nickname I gave him, he looked me in my eyes and patted my head

I smiled turning my head as I saw neytiri bringing us the food

"Eat up"

"Did you cook this mama?" Tuk asked hoping it wasn't her dad's cooking

"Yes I cooked it"

Lo'ak and Tuk let out a sigh of relief, Jake's cooking wasn't that ideal nobody really wants to eat bitter unseasoned food. I was always a picky eater not really liking how other people cooked other then neytiri's cooking and mine. She gave me a leaf plate "thank you." I started to dig in

Jake then joined us sitting down with the food he looked toward me and neteyam. "I forgot to tell you guys, me and your mom have a mission so. Neteyam you're gonna be training y/n for the day is that fine."

"But what about the hunting trip you promised us." I asked

"I'm gonna postpone it for next week. but this mission needs to get cleared out first" he started to eat "so neteyam wake up bright and early to train her got it."

"Yes sir." He nodded taking a plate from neytiri and started to eat

"Dad after y/n and neteyam train, can y/n take me to the ravine for a little so we can swim?" Tuk asked hoping for a yes as neytiri sat down next to her eating

"I'm sorry but not tomorrow we can never be so sure"

Tuk frowned "but y/n is gonna be there! She'll make sure I'm safe!"

"Tuk you can go another day that's not tomorrow."

"But-"

"No buts."

Tuk frowned

"I promise you they can take you somewhere after tomorrow okay princess."

"Okay dad." She sighed pouting

"When are you gonna be back" kiri asked

"Mm we'll be back at night fall" he continued to eat

Kiri tilted her head "hm. Okay"

"We just suspect sky people again so we just have to check it out. Making sure you kids are safe is very important to us. we don't want what happened last time to happen again."

I shuddered at that memory, I couldn't bear to see him lie like that I really thought he was gone.

"In the mean time neteyam and y/n you guys will be in charge other than your grandmother. you'll be training here instead of the woods. So make sure that you don't let Tuk wander and make sure kiri is okay. Do you understand."

"Yes." I nodded as I licked my fingers

"Yes sir." Neteyam finished eating

But then there was always lo'ak "and what about me I can defend the family too"

"Lo'ak I'm not saying you can't defend the family because you're coming with us."

Lo'ak's ears perked up as his eyes lit up. he smiled softly "really?"

Jake nodded he thought this would be a good time to take lo'ak because he always took neteyam

"I talked to your mother about it so really you should be thanking her"

He smiled at neytiri "thank you mom" he was really happy and excited it would definitely take his mind off the argument between him and tsireya

I smiled and finished eating I stood up stretching "may I be dismissed to go to bed?"
