"What are you on about?" I asked with a laugh as he grinned at me excitedly "What do you mean?"

"You have been dead until this moment." he answered "That thrill you felt when we left the restaurant was the moment of your birth." I snorted

"You really are insane." I laughed "It is now completely confirmed."

"At least I'm not uptight." he answered with a laugh, I slapped his shoulder with a small smile "But don't worry, we can work on that." he said as he resumed walking, I stayed put; he turned to me with a raised eyebrow "Oh come on, don't tell me you're already chickening out!" he whined "You were doing great!"

"Well, maybe but this could really get us in trouble!" I said and he groaned loudly "We could go to jail for this!"

"When have you ever done something reckless?" he asked, but raised his hand "Forget I even asked." he laughed "Have you ever even done something just because you wanted to?" he asked and I pressed my lips into a thin line. He got me there. I never really had, it would be because either my parents wanted me to or because it would make them happy. "Wow, and I thought my life was sad." he said slightly bitterly but slightly joking as well. "And I mean, it is sad." he added and I bit my lip awkwardly "Too much?" he winced

"Just a tad." I joked "So, what's next on our 'grand adventure?'" I said, making air quotes with a slight smile, he shifted his weight and waited for me to catch up with him

"We're going to walk up to the Hollywood sign and watch the sunset." he said with a faint smile "And don't worry, I've done it many times and I've never got caught. I'm stealthy as a ninja." he said, making dramatic motions with his hands as I giggled

"Alright Jackie Chan." I joked and he chuckled slightly as he bumped my shoulder

"See? You're alredy lightening up!" he beamed "One afternoon with me and you're already alive and living!" he added with an excited smile "And you wanted to ditch me." he mused "See? I told you I was a blast."

"Eh." I giggled at his face, shock and offense filled his features

"Okay, now I'm hurt." he said as I struggled to walk up the hill, he turned to me and grabbed my hand, hoisting me up as he pulled me towards him, I slipped on a rock and nearly doubled over, but his hand met my waist and prevented me from face-planting on the dirt. Which would've been very embarrassing. "Easy there." he smiled.

We kept on walking for about another fifteen minutes making small talk along the way, getting to know each other a little better, which was nice, but my legs felt like they were on fire! It was starting to get slightly dark, which meant the sunset was upon us. I lifted my gaze and saw the Hollywood sign was directly in front of us, I sighed deeply before continuing to walk as I trailed behind Lucas, struggling along the way due to my burning legs.

"Oh, come on slow poke!" he called out over his shoulder "You can do better than that!" he joked and I glared at him from behind

"Excuse me for being slow since I barely exercise!"

"This is a mere walk!" he laughed as he slowed his pace so I could meet up with him "Next on my list is getting you a little more fit." Next? Did he actually mean he wanted to hang out with me more? "What?"

"You want to do this again?" I asked and he frowned

"Yeah, why not?" he shrugged "It's fun seeing you struggle." he joked and I slapped his arm "But seriosuly, you're not half bad, Angel."

"Beautiful, isn't it?" he murmured as he relaxed his posture, he looked really calm, and serene. Maybe it was the sunset. "Something about sunsets always make me feel at peace." he whispered and I smiled briefly

"Yeah, it's nice." I answered "What time is it?" I asked as I glanced at my phone which read 6:07 p.m. I gasped as I quickly stood up, dusting myself off because of where I was sitting before "I have to go! My parents are going to kill me!" I exclaimed

"Will this be your first time ever being grounded?" he grinned as he rubbed his hands mischeviosuly with a smirk "I am so corrupting you."

"Just shut up!" I laughed "Hurry up because I need to get home!"

"Way to ruin the moment." he muttered as he stood up and dusted himself off in the process.

When we reached the bottom of the hill where the cars were parked, I quickly got onto his bike, slipping the helmet on as he turned the engine over and started driving off to school because I had to pick up my car from the parking lot. When we reached the school, he parked beside my car and took his helmet off, smiling at me lazily as he lifted his hand to wave at me "I had fun today." he said and I smiled slightly once I had gotten into my car "Like I said, you aren't half bad." he added with a small wink, causing me to blush

"I coudl say the same about you." I answered and he shrugged before slipping his helmet back on

"See you later, Angel." he waved "Drive safe and have a nice night." he added before speeding off before I could even answer

"You too." I whispered to myself with a small smile on my lips as I grabbed my keys from my pocket and opened the door, my parents were sitting in the living room, frowning once I entered "Hi, sorry I'm late!" I apologised as I closed the door behind me

"Where have you been?" my dad asked, arms crossed over his chest in an authorative manner. I guess that's where I got that from.

"I was at Dinah's." I lied, biting the inside of my cheek "Just catching up." I added

"And you couldn't bother to call?" he asked and I sighed softly, nodding my head as I ducked it

"Sorry, lost track of time." I muttered and he nodded curtly before waving me off so I could leave, I shot my mom a brief smile before running up to my room sh I could shower and freshen up

"Dinah?" I asked as I answered my ringing phone as I combed my hair "What's up?"

"What's up?!" she shrieked and I winced due to her tone "I called you like fifty times and my calls wouldn't go through!" she whisper/yelled "Did you get fucking abducted or something?! You never miss class!" she added with another yell "I saw your car and freaked out, started calling everybody and they said you left with that Lucas guy on his bike!" she scolded and I bit my lip "Is it true?" my silence definitely answered her question "Oh... My... God!" she bellowed, started shrieking like mad as I pulled my phone away from my ear as she fangirled "W-What? H-How? W-Why?!" she stuttered

"They let us out of class early and I had free period." I muttered and she squealed "We just went out to eat and then saw the sunset." I whispered and she squealed louder

"So romantic!" she gushed "I thought you hated him and now you skipped last period to watch the sunset with him?!" she shrieked "What happened?!"

"Nothing, we just talked and... hung out." I answered "It was... nice." I said with a small smile "Different."

"So, what's he like?" she sang

"Not what I expected." I laughed as I shook my head "By a long shot."

"Are you going to hang out again?" she asked excitedly

"I don't know." I whispered "I hope so."
