Chapter III

I'm listening to Matsuri by Fujii Kaze and Red by Taylor Swift on loop while writing this. I'm still thinking how the story should go. My heart says fluff but my brain says heavy angst. Well, let's see.

Chigiri and Kunigami was somehow scared by Reo's face every time they mention Nagi. He looks like a possessive girlfriend who just lost her 10 years boyfriend. Well, he definitely is.

"Nagi's gonna come back...Nagi's not coming back...Nagi's gonna come back" Reo was busy doing the loves me loves me not game, while Kunigami was cheering him on and Chigiri already had enough of both of them. The first time Chigiri saw Reo sitting at the corner, he thought, Reo looks like he just got divorced with his wife. Chigiri is literally praying almost every minute that Nagi and Reo will somehow reconcile again. Well, he does know that Reo will not give in easily.

"Reo, we're gonna go to the bath house, are you coming?"

"Yeah, I will." Reo said after putting the toothbrush back he just tortured.

They went to the bath house to of course take a bath. (Zoro can't relate)

Kunigami was peacefully washing his hair when he accidentally elbowed someone's head "Oh sorry" He said while turning on his back to see who he just accidentally hurt.

"Isagi!?"

"Kunigami!" Isagi said excitedly after finally seeing his teammate who he had just left earlier.

"Why are you guys still at third stage?" Kunigami asked 

Isagi then explained what happened at the early stage. He told them that they picked Barou, and Naruhaya was the only one left, and how Bachira got taken.

"What were you thinking, Isagi? Suddenly leaving us behind." Chigiri spoke up with a towel on his head.

"Chigiri!" and again Isagi's eyes lit up again like a child when he saw his another teammate.

"So I'm guessing the team you have right now is, Barou, and Nagi?"

Isagi was about to say something but Nagi suddenly uttered something.

"You talking about me?" Nagi said while doing a floating in a literal bath house

"Hey! You punk! This is a public bath for fuck's sake! This ain't a kiddy pool you know?!"  Barou barged in with his hair down and a towel hanging on his shoulder. But Nagi just ignored him and sank in the water and even told Barou to look at his amazing underwater bubble Ninjutsu.

"Stop blowing bubbles! You're getting your nasty spit everywhere!" Barou again argued and dragged Nagi at the surface.

"So, do you know who you're gonna play next?" Chigiri asked Isagi

"Nope, not yet, How about you guys? Who're you gonna pick?" Isagi asked while putting his hand at the edge of the bath so he won't slip.

"Obviously, we're gonna go against you. I grouped up with them just for that reason" Isagi was startled when he heard a voice he knew. But Nagi was more stunned so he went towards Reo.

"Reo! Listen, you know I practiced a lot since then, you se-" Nagi was excitedly walking towards Reo to finally talk again with his partner but he was dumbfounded when Reo suddenly slapped his hand away.

"Stop it. We are rivals now, Nagi. I am not your partner anymore. And you, who left me, I will defeat and crush you."

Nagi was astonished by the way the Reo acted towards him. Reo have never rejected his touch since they were on high school. But he thought, maybe Reo was just in a bad mood.

"That's right. So don't run away from us." Kunigami added.

"That's exactly what we wanted." Isagi said but his eyes looked daunting.

The match has started the score is currently 2-0. 2 points for Red team and 0 points at the opposing team. Isagi again strategized on how they will score. He's deciding to use to combine pieces he has gathered with his spatial recognition ability. He then started to run with Barou on his right side while Reo was in front of him. But instead of doing the move he did earlier, he went behind Reo instead. He signaled Barou to pass him the ball, but he wasn't expecting Barou to ignore him, and go for the goal alone.

"Hey hey, you're being way too greedy, King." Kunigami said to Barou who was dribbling in front him. Barou slipped when Kunigami suddenly stole the ball from him and ran. Isagi released a grunt when Kunigami finally went a perfect place to strike a goal.

"Hey Barou, Isagi was completely open, why didn't you pass the ball to him?!" Nagi was talking with a bit of appalling voice.

"Tch, shut up! Why would I pass the ball for someone else to score?!" Barou's forehead then met with Nagi's.

"Hey, hey, stop it." Isagi tried to calm them down and tried to think about their next move.

Time passed and the score is currently 4-4. A tie, one more goal then a team will finally win. But in that moment, Isagi already has the battlefield on his hand. He's relying on Barou to make the last goal and win the game. and what he was wishing to happen really did. In the end they were choosing who will they pick next. They're deciding between the three of them and talking about who will be the good mate that could flow with their chemical reactions. After deciding for minutes, They finally agreed on Chigiri. 

Reo is sitting quietly at the floor with his thighs crossed. Then Nagi went towards him and complimented him about the game.

"That was a close game. You are really amazing, Reo. That's why I'm-" Nagi was cut off by Reo's words.

"Then pick me. I don't need your assurance. Or just say it clearly, that you don't care about me anymore. You've changed, Nagi. You are now a person who've forgotten the promise with me to become the best in the world."

Nagi was about to to speak but Reo interrupted him.

"If you're gonna abandon me, abandon me properly, you shit." There it is. He finally said it.

Nagi kept quiet but he finally said something.

...

"Then, Would you be satisfied if I choose you here? Becoming a team with you doesn't feel exciting anymore. The one who's forgetting our promise here is YOU."

"..." Reo stared at Nagi for a while and was gonna say something but, he's glad he didn't continue it.

"Whatever, I've had enough already. You're a pain in the ass, Reo."

Reo was devastated. He didn't expect the quiet and the Nagi who would always rely on him will actually abandon him together with harsh words. He watched Nagi walked away from him to go back to Isagi. He looked down but Kunigami stopped him to do so.

"If you look away now, you will regret it."

Okay so, this is actually pain yk yk, I wrote this earlier at the morning at like 5-6 am? and it already had like 2000 words but my laptop suddenly shut down. and now...I didn't get to save what I wrote so, I restarted it.

By the way just uh reminders. I'm just replaying the past here, the present right now is, Reo is practicing with Shidou.
