"Aw go to hell Jacob Christopher Brown" I said sitting on the couch as he got up walking over
"Man y'all be treating a nigga bad fr in this bitch" He said sitting down on the couch next to me as I rolled my eyes before a smile creeped up
"What did you want Jake or you gone keep being mean to me??" I said folding my arms as he shook his head
"Nah man, Melanie I missed you man real talk when you left I wasn't myself man especially because I wasn't fully healed from allat shit that happened, I needed you man I understand why you left but you ain't have to shut a nigga out" He said
Jake was actually speaking seriously and not joking, this was new. That baby must've changed him for real
"Jake I understand your reasoning and why you were upset but you have to cut me some slack man, I was hurt. You busy hurt me more than he did and I couldn't stay here. I needed to get away from all of this I know it took a toll on you but you cannot act as if you weren't associated with the situation"
He nodded slowly "You right I ain't really think of that.. I should've been your feelings first and inconsideration instead of being upset about what I knew about knowing how much that hurt you"
I smiled "Besties?"
"You know you still my best bitch, Im glad cause I was tired of Ashley pickle head ass I don't think Dave dicking her down enough "
Never-mind old Jake was back
"And he's back bein ignorant" I said laughing as he laughed too
"Im gon always be ignorant til I mf die!" He said laughing as I shook my head and smiled
I was really happy that now with everyone, everything was settled and it could no longer be awkward between anyone .. well almost everyone
"What yo big head ass thinking bout" I turned looking at him looking at me
"Nothing really, how do you like being a father?" I said
"It's still new to me man but that's my dawg. She's really a mini crazy and I love her to death, the shit ain't easy though but she's making me a better man I could tell you that" He said as I smiled
I love a seeing Jake turn his life around. He was a child himself but now I'm seeing a grown man who of course still has his childish ways but who doesn't? But it's the growth that matters and I'm proud of him
"I'm proud of you, know that" I said to him as he looked over at me before smiling a bit
"That shit man a lot man.. I been trying I really have" He said as I smiled before turning my head hearing little footsteps
"Dada!"
And on que little royalty ran up as he picked her up "Hey baby girl, you suppose to be sleep"
"No!" She said shaking her head as I laughed at her sassy butt
Royalty and Milan were close in age, had to be maybe 2 months apart but Royalty speech was good while Milan was very shy. She only talks sometimes
"Say hey to Teetee Lani" He told her as she look at me smiling big as I smiled back while she reached for me as he frowned
