"hey you tryna go to subway?" my friend john asks getting his shoes on

i was lowkey hungry as a motherfucker so i said yea

we start walking there and finally walk inside

we order some food before going to sit down

the subway by us was pretty big and it was packed

like bro the one day we decide to come everyone all of a sudden want sum subway

"ay nia can you go get us sum to drink" he says smiling at me hoping i would

he hand me a ten as i walk off

i pull my phone going threw instagram before i suddenly bump into someone, making both of us drop our phones

without looking up i bend down to grab my phone as the person does the same

we both get back to our feet before looking up

i meet a lightskin, a cute one

he had a ski on just above his hair so i could still see him clearly

"oh my bad ma" he says looking at me

we both look at eachother before i hear john bigass complaining for the drinks

i guess the guy heard him because he stared laughing

"alright i better go" i say looking at him

i grab his phone putting my number in setting my name as 'nia💘'

he smiles as he looks down at his phone

"nia, pretty name" he says before walking back to the table he was at with a couple of other guys

i go and grab our drinks before walking over back to john

"mann what took you so long i been dying" he says mugging me

i mug him back cuz this nigga wayyy to dramatic

"its been 3 mintues" i say rolling my eyes at him

he downs his drink in 2 seconds

"damn nigga you gon die from how much dr pepper you be drinking" i say taking a sip of mine

after we finish eating we just stay sitting down

im scrolling on my phone before i see the guy and his friends walking over to us

"ay you jays girl?" a lightskin with curly hair asked me

i look at him confused on who jay was

"whos jay..?" i ask him blankly

we all begin talking for like 5 minutes until jay walks over to were i was at

i assume dee was the tall darkskin so i didnt say anything

i nod my head motioning that it was fine

"i really am digging you tho" he says breaking the silence after a while

i smile at him

"so john aint ya man right?" he asks

i start laughing hysterically

"you thought i was dating john?" i could barely get out since of how much i was laughing

"just making sure yk" he says as he starts to laugh

i wasnt suprised everyone thought me and john were together due to how close we are, but never he was my bestfran

"ay we bouta dip" a lightskin says dapping up john

jay gets out his chair walking to me

he lifts me up by arm giving me a hug

i wrap my arms around his neck hugging him back

"ima text you when ina lil ma" he says before softly grabbing my chin giving me a kiss on the cheek

i start to smile a little before nodding

"and thats how me and yo nappy ass hair daddy met" i say to our daughter

dont get me wrong i love jay but thats how we was, always joking about eachother like that

"and its time for bed" i say carrying our daughter to bed

we both kiss her head before walking out

me and jay get in bed and start cuddling, he lifts my chin up kissing my cheek

i saw what he was doing.
