"I really didn't expect you to be this type of a doctor. I'm really disappointed" I said looking straight into his eyes. Even saying that I could hear my heartbreak. As much as I didn't want to say it, I felt like I had to.
A hospital in the middle...

"I didn't want to bother you," I said quietly.
"Why would you bother me? You shouldn't have hurt yourself like that. I wouldn't mind driving you," he replied. Our eyes connected, and my heart instantly felt warm as his soft gaze gave me comfort. Suddenly I felt my phone ring loudly, making me break eye contact. I picked the phone up, and it was the reception at the emergency room.
"Doctor Min, there is a patient with pan peritonitis in the ER {Emergency Room}" Miss Jeon said, the head of the nurse team.
"Okay, I will be right there," I said before hanging up
"What is it?" Beomgyu said, standing up
"There is a patient with abdominal pain in the ER," I said, standing up, but he grabbed my arm.
"I will take care of it. You get some rest. Don't forget to take some painkillers," Beomgyu said and left for the emergency room.
Something is weird about him.
Why is he so nice all of a sudden?
I shrugged off the feeling and went to the staff room. Not going to lie. Beomgyu did a good job on my ankle. Once I entered, I saw Doctor Kang sleeping in one of the bunk beds. It seems like Doctor Kai left. I took some painkillers then laid in one of the beds to get some sleep, but I couldn't. I kept thinking about yesterday. Did he stay up all night? He doesn't look like he got any sleep either.
I wonder how the patient is from yesterday. I stood up and went out of the staff room to the Doctor Park office, awake and typing on his computer. I knocked on the glass window, which gained his attention, then went inside his office.
"Hi, Doctor Park", I greeted him with a smile.
"Umm, what's wrong?" he asked, not taking his eyes off his computer
"I'm wondering how the patient is from last night? How did it go?" I asked
"Yeah, we managed to transfer him safely by the helicopter," he said
"Did the surgery go well?"
"I don't know. You should ask the reception about that."
"Aren't you the head of the doctors? Shouldn't you-" I stopped when he glared at me. "Sorry. I will ask the reception" I walked to the door and was about to exit until I heard Doctor Park say
"I cut off all connection with the higher-ups a long time ago. I rarely get updates from the city hospital," Dr Park said. I turned around to look at him.
"Can I ask a question?" I asked, wanting to know more
"No"
"Why did you start this hospital?" I asked anyways. he narrowed his eyes at me for a minute before replying
"Shouldn't you be in the emergency room treating patients?" he said. I sigh and nod before leaving the office and walking to the emergency room. That's when I saw two men come through the hospital's front door. They approached me.
