"A chest stab wound victim," A voice yelled, and I looked behind me where the emergency entrance was. That's when I saw the first responders wheeling in a bed that had the victim in it. I rushed towards them to see a man in a suit bleeding from the chest. what made me even worried is that it was just below the heart area

"Vitals?" I asked. I looked at the patient, and there was no knife, which is not good because he is bleeding non-stop.

"Blood pressure ninety over forty, heart rate hundred and thirty," the responder said

"Did you take the knife out at the scene?" I asked

"It was out when we found him," he replied. Shit, this isn't good

"Hybrid room," I said as we took the patient to the hybrid room and transferred him to the hospital bed. I started to check up on the patient.

"Vitals?" I asked

"Blood pressure eighty over forty, heart rate hundred and thirty," the nurse replied. Blood pressure has dropped.

"Echocardiogram," I said, "Get the chest portal, give him two litres of warm saline at top speed through two IVs, six litres of oxygen in a mask."

"Okay," the nurse said

I took the Echocardiogram and started to check the patient's chest. that's when I realised it's another Cardiac Tamponade case {bleeding in the heart, which causes blood accumulation in the heart sac}

"Two A central line for pericardiocentesis," I said {Pericardiocentesis is a procedure done to remove fluid that has built up in the sac around the heart, done by a needle}.

I spread the blue drape on its chest, having the circle hole on the area I wanted to work on, which was right on the heart.

The nurse handed me the needle and used the Echocardiogram. I started injecting the needle into the patient's body while looking at the ultrasound monitor. Once I reached the sac, I began to pull out the blood. First tube, a second tube, third, became five-needle tubes filled with his blood.

I need to get as much blood out so it doesn't accumulate in the heart sac and causes pressure on the heart, where the patient might end up in cardiac arrest.

"Is there any empty operating room?" I asked, then someone came into the hybrid room. I looked up, and it was Doctor Park. I explained the situation and the patient's condition while he examined the patient.

"Open him up and stop the bleeding with staples," he said

"Here?" I asked

"The operation room is full right now. Just focus on stopping the bleeding then we will transfer him into the operation room. one of them is almost done, so by the time you finish, it will be free," Doctor Park said. "Can you do it?"
