5 | Possibly a new friend?

The two sat there chatting about many different things. Due to Akito changing the topic quite frequently. Toya didn't seemed to mind though. He just went along with it. Plus he honestly had nothing else to really do... So at least he had a bit of company with him to pass the time.

Later on, Akito laughing his ass off at some dumb jokes they saw on the internet. Which Toya didn't seem to understand how half of the jokes made sense.

"Really? You still don't get it?" Akito said with a frown. Toya sat there processing his thoughts before shaking his head cluelessly.

"Hmmph.. Okay fine. Next one." Akito sighed, continuing to scroll through the jokes on his phone.

(a/n : in japanese this joke makes more sense then it does in english, so i decided to be silly write this some of this part in japanese. Hopefully it's not confusing to read or- ykyk. ( ；'Д｀) I'll put a short explanation and translation abt this at the end of the chapter lol )

"パンダの好きな餌は？" ( "panda no sukina esa wa?) Akito said, reading the joke to Toya.

"何？" ("nani?") Toya replied.

"パンだ。"("Pan da") Akito answered, Trying to hold in his laugh.

This time, atleast Toya got the joke this time. He let a soft chuckle slip out. Akito finally let out the laugh he was holding in.

Both of them laughing together. Though Toya didn't even notice... This was the first time he laughed like this in a while. It didn't feel like some forced laugh...

Akito noticed this too. He seemed to noticed how Toya's cold personality was slowly disappearing. As if that personality was just a fake mask to shield his true self from the world. But he just brushed the thought of that off. Knowing if he'd ask about that know or even mention it. It'd possibly break the mood or bring back Toya's cold side.

"Okay Okay next one.." Akito chuckled softly, scrolling down to the next question.

But just then. The bell had rang.

12:30 pm
Lunch break end

"Already? We didn't even finish reading all of them yet..." Akito groaned, sliding his phone back into his jacket pocket.

"Well, Perhaps we could do this one day again." Toya offered.

"One day again hm? How about tomorrow then? Lunch break?" Akito suggested.

Toya paused for a second to think about that. Tomorrow he had club duties during lunch... He would ask if he could pass on doing it. But if his father found out about that, especially since the club he's in was a music club. He'd have to go through a long lecture about that.

He had to be smart about this too. Yeah he was able to bond and get along with Akito. But then again, He had just met him today. If he knew him for quite a while then that would be a whole different story.

Especially due to what happened with his friendships in the past. If he got too close now, he could possibly risk being isolated from everyone again. Going back all the way to the beginning.

After a few seconds, Toya snapped out of his thoughts and finally responded, "Apologies Shinonome-kun.. But I have a club tomorrow during lunch.. So i'm afraid tomorrow wouldn't work."

"A club huh? That's alright, no need to apologize. I'll be here every lunch break though, so feel free to come by and maybe we could chat again." Akito responded with a warm smile.

Toya nodded slowly, waving goodbye now before they parted ways. Akito did the same.

"See you later, boy with weird blue hair." Akito said teasingly, while he walked away.

Toya shot a glare at him when he heard that.

Right... I never told him my name..

This could possibly be his first friend in a while. Well, he didn't know if they were friends yet. But now the only thing that he was curious about was if Akito was from the same blood line as Aki..

If possible, he'd maybe go ask his history teacher about this. But for now, it was time to continue on with the school day

(silly translation for the joke Akito was telling Toyaa !!) : "What's a panda's favorite food?" Akito said, reading the joke to Toya.

"What?". Toya replied.

"Bread." Akito answered, Trying to hold in his laugh."

A/N 3: Basically if you still don't get the joke, the joke was asking what a pandas favorite food was. The answer was bread ! According to what my friend told me. Bread in japanese is "パン" (Pan). and i'm pretty sure if you add "だ" (da) to it, making it "パンだ。" Basically pronouncing it as panda lol. And i'm pretty sure it still translates to bread !! Apologies if this was a confusing explanation, i kinda suck at explaining things- LOL
