New friends

(Amys pov)

I ran to find my math class until accidentally crashing into someone

"Oh my god i'm so sorry! Are you okay?" I say

"Watch where your going dumbass. Are you blind or something?" the brown haired chipmunk said

(It was just an accident, jeez.)

"Oh i'm sorry. Are you okay?" I nervously said

"Sorry doesn't cut it. You bumped into me and now my hair is ruined!" she yelled

"I apologize. I was just rushing to get to my class." I say softly

The girl scoffed and said "Whatever." and rushed away

(that was embarrassing and almost humiliating) i thought.

(Sonics pov)

After saying bye to Amy I ran to the track field afraid of being late. I see my best friend knuckles, waving at me.

"Yo man! why are you so late? Usually you're early" He said

"Yeah sorry knux, i had a little situation come up" I said while nervously rubbing the back of my head

"Alright loser we'll talk about it at lunch" He said with a cheeky grin "Right now we need to start warming up before Mrs.D comes for us" he told me while acting scared

I laughed "Right, of course. I can't have her embarrassing me for the 100th time for not warming up." I said sarcastically

A little while later the bell rings and knuckles and me start leaving while wiping the sweat off our faces. Mrs.D reminds us we have a track meet Wednesday and need to practice extra hard and she looks at me very sternly which makes knuckles nudge me really hard while laughing. I went to our lockers and decided to take a shower since I smelled like sweat.

Knuckles yells for me "You ready sonic?!"

"Yeah just give me a sec!" I yelled back then grabbed my backpack and caught up to knuckles and left to go to the cafeteria.

I got to the cafeteria and it smelled like they were having..CHILI DOGS? just my lucky day! I thanked the gods while getting into the lunch line. After getting my food I gazed around the cafeteria until I saw my friends sitting at our table so I smiled and went over there and sat down.

"Hey guys!" i said while stuffing my face with my chili dogs

"Jeez dude, calm down before you start choking" knuckles said looking shocked while everyone else in the table agreed

"Yeah man though those chili dogs are pretty good so i can't blame you" Silver said

"I wouldn't mind if he did" Shadow says unfazed

"I agree with knuckles, sonic you could get heart burn if you keep up with that" Tails worriedly said

"Awh thanks guys! you all truly do care about me and don't worry, i won't be dying anytime soon!" i said in a proudly joking tone

"Whatever" Shadow mumbled

I started to scan around the room until my eyes landed on a pink haired hedgehog standing at the cafeteria doors with her lunchbox. Its Amy! She seemed kinda scared and awkwardly stood there.

"Amy!" I yelled trying to get her attention and she looked at me and her face softened. I waved at her to come over here and she smiled really geeky and walked nervously up to our table.

"Hey sonic." she said and everyone looked up from what they were doing and started to look at the both of us confused

"And who is this sonic? Btw i'm Tails!" tails said while pulling his hand out before shaking Amy's hand

"Oh well Amy here is new and I meet her this morning because she was lost." I said and Amy looked away all embarrassed. I continued "She's my friend now and she's sitting with us for now on" I say while cheesing really big and patted my hand on a chair telling her to sit down.

"Hello." she awkwardly said while fidgeting  her hands before waving

"Well hi Amy! I'm Silver and this one right next to me is Blaze!" Silver said before tapping on Blaze getting her attention and she looked looked up and smiled sheepishly and waved before putting her attention back to the book she was reading.

"And this grumpy looking one is Shadow! Don't take it too personally of how he reacts to things. Oh and there's one more person and that's Rouge but right now she's out doing her own things" Tails confidently said

"That bat is always up to something" Knuckles said while looking annoyed

Amy laughed and said "Well it's nice meeting you all. I hope we can get along well."

Everyone started talking and asked Amy many questions and joked around then finally, Blaze started to warm up and talk. (Good) I thought.

20 minutes later the bell rang and I groaned "Oh goddd, I have english next and I forgot to study for the test we have." I said while frowning. Everyone just laughed and Tails said "We told you to study, even Blaze offered to help you. This one's on you Sonic."

"Yeah you dumbass but don't worry, you can copy off my paper but only this once." Knuckles said to me

"Oh well I promised Amy that I would actually study instead of cheating so there's no need for that." I said before Amy looked at me shocked and said

"Sonic I don't want you to fail! I'll just help you study whenever we have study hall. This time you can cheat." then she looked at her paper seeing what class she has next

"Cmon sonic before we're late again and you know you're on your second strike already for being tardy." Silver said and knuckles nodded and agreed.

"Alright alright guys just hold on. Amy, what class do you have next?" I asked

"Oh I think I have science next?" She checked to make sure then turned bright red "Oh wait Its actually culinary class"

"Oh wait a minute! Blaze don't you have that class next?" I said then Blaze nodded "Well you have that class with blaze so just follow her and she'll help you. I don't wanna be late now but i'll see you in study hall! Bye Amy!" I ran to the cafeteria doors when Knuckles and Silver tailed along.

"Bye Sonic!" Amy yelled to me and then smiled hard
