(Sonics pov)
I wake up feeling pretty energetic but mentally exhausted. I slowly get up from my bed and check the time
(time reads 7.09)
"So I have a whole hour to get ready? that's surprising." I say to myself
I get ready then make myself breakfast before heading out the door. I spot Knuckels at the bus stop and start running towards him.
"Yo knux!!" I yell while waving my hands
"Yoooo, what's up?" he asks then gives me a first bump and we both start laughing
"Nothing much actually. I don't think i'm ready for the track meet though. I'm so exhausteddd" I said while mimicking some whining noises
"Oh don't worry you idiot. We have all today to practice and you're like the best runner we have. Like you literally always win the races so don't sweat it." He says to me while smiling then gives a thumbs up
I returned the gesture "You're right you're right. Thanks knucklehead!" I say
5 minutes later the bus comes and I put my headphones on and start listening to "Vandalize" by one ok rock. Once we get to the school I see sally and decide to say hello.
"Hey sal!! It's been a long time huh?" I ask her
She turns red "Hi Sonic oh and hi Knuckles! Yeah it has been a long time. I was thinking of joining track actually" She tells me
I smiled "That'd be awesome! We need more people and you seem like the right person to join! You'd be a great addition to the team." I said
"Yeah dude. We really need some more good runners. The other ones are suckyyyy." Knuckles says then rolls his eyes
"Well i'll sign up today then." she says then smiles deeply
"Alright sounds great! I hope to see you at practice soon." I say before I feel someone tap me on the shoulder and looked, Amy smiles then laughs.
"Hey sonic! Hey knuckles!" she says and then noticed Sally. "Oh hello again." she said quitely
(That's weird. She seemed sad when she said that) I thought
"I don't think i've met you before? But hello!! Who must you be? You're absolutely gorgeous by the way!" She kindly says to Amy
Amy looks confused and almost scared? Okay now i'm really worried. I look at Knuckles and he just shrugs.
Amy fake smiles "Oh. Um hi then. I'm Amy, what's your name?" she asked
"Beautiful name. I'm Sally, nice to meet you!" Sally says and shakes Amy's hand
There's an awkward silence between everyone until the bell rings (What a fucking life saver!). I say bye to Knuckles and Sally then take Amy's hand "Cmon Ames! We gotta hurry!" I say laughing to myself
Amy stops then turns to me "Ames?" she asks
"Yeah! I call all my friends nicknames. Besides the ones who don't want any. Is it okay if I call you that?" I tell her
