After Nobu had left that day, I had gotten a call later, telling me he broke it off with Yuri. Ever since then, he and I had started meeting up pretty frequently, mostly at his request. Today, was different though. This time, I was the one who asked to meet up.. I think to myself, as I straighten the display I had been working on. Nobu agreed to meet up after I got out of work today. "Hey, Akari..?" Keisuke calls out, catching my attention. "Yeah?" I ask, looking towards him. "Today's the big day, isn't it..? How are you feeling..?" He asks concerned. I give a small smirk and stand, remembering what I told him a couple days back. "I'm surprised actually. I'm not nearly as nervous as I thought I'd be.." I admit casually, with a shrug. Hearing this, he raises a brow. "Really? With how you sounded That Day at the Café, I thought for sure you'd be scared straight still, I mean, it wasn't that long ago." He says. I laugh quietly. "Yeah, I did too. But, I don't know, something feels...different now...but I can't figure out what it is.." I say honestly, puzzled by the lack of nerves.

He tilts his head in confusion. "What do you mean 'different'?" He asks. I shake my head. "That's the thing...I don't know. Something just...is. It's weird, I can't really explain it." I say, waving it off. "Hmm, maybe you're just in shock? I mean...it's been a long time coming afterall. Now that it's happening...maybe your nerves just haven't caught up yet." he says. "Hmm, maybe.." I say, thinking it over. That...doesn't seem to be the case though...it's almost like I'm.. Shaking out of my thoughts, I decide it's best to figure it out later. So, I push the strange feeling back, and shrug. "Who knows. Anyway, my shift is almost over, you need me to do anything before I go?" I ask him. He looks at the time. Seeing I only had a minute left, he waves me off. "Nope, you've already done more than you were meant to already. You just go enjoy the rest of your day." He says with a thankful smile. Laughing quietly, I nod. Once clocked out, I head for the door. "Let me know how it goes!" He calls out from the back. "Will do, have a good night!" I call back, waving goodbye, before leaving the store behind.
