Kion and Baraka ran into the den. "Kayson!" Kion shouted, panic in his voice.

Thankfully, Kopa wasn't in this den. Only Kayson and Kiara were.

"What's up little bro?" Kayson asked. Kion looked at Baraka. "I-I killed Sefu," Baraka stampered. "What why!" Kayson asked. "They were drowning Kion! I had no choice!" Baraka shouted. Kayson turned his gaze to Kion, who was drenched, and shivering.

"Holy Kings! Kion you'll freeze," Kayson hugged Kion, warming him up. Kayson let go after a minute, "Why were they drowning you?"

"Well, yesterday we were protecting Rani and Shanti because they asked us to, but the male Royals found out and got mad," Kion tucked his ears down.

Kayson looked out of the den, then at Kiara, who was sleeping. "What do we do?" Baraka asked. "Just act casual. If someone finds his body, and they question you, say you have no idea, and don't look nervous," Kayson explained.

Kion and Baraka nodded. Kiara yawned and woke up, "Hey brothers! Hi brothers friend!" She smiled.

They turned to her, "Uh hi Kiara," Kion replied. Kiara stretched, "Can I go play with Kovu?" Kayson nodded. Kiara ran out to Kovu's den.

Kiara ran through the plains to her friend. She ran into his den. "Kovu!" She called. No one answered. Kiara ran out to the old river that was dried out. It was Kovu's secret hideout.

Kiara heard crying. She looked down, and saw Kovu, crying. She approached him, "Kovu?"

It was strange, because Kovu was strong. Kiara had never seen him cry.

"K-Kiara!" Kovu wiped away his tears. "Kovu what's wrong?" Kiara asked. "Nothing," Kovu hid his head into his chest.

"Kovu, w-were you crying?" Kiara asked. "No. I don't cry," Kovu replied. Kiara walked infront of him, "Kovu what happened."

Kovu looked up at her, tears were in his eyes, "The Royals, t-they killed my parents," Kovu cried. Kiara gasped. She pulled him into a hug, "What about Nuka, and Vitani?"

"Nuka is hiding with Vitani. I ran from them. I didn't want them to see me cry," Kovu replied. Kiara licked the top of his head, "I'm here for you."

Kovu smiled, "You're a good friend." "Let's go to your brother and sister," Kiara said. Kovu nodded. They walked to Nuka and Vitani.

Nuka and Vitani were in another cave. Vitani paced back and forth while Nuka was shaking in fear.

Vitani saw Kiara and Kovu. "Kovu!" She shouted. She ran to them. Vitani grabbed Kovu, and started cleaning his fur. "Vitani stop!" Kovu said embarrased.

"Where were you! I got worried!" Vitani asked. "I ran. I didn't want you and Nuka to see me cry," Kovu replied. Vitani looked at him affectionately, "It's ok. We wouldn't make fun of you."

Kovu smiled. Nuka walked up to them, "Are mom and dad coming back?" He asked. Vitani looked at him sadly, "No Nuka, they're gone." Kiara was sad for them, she had gone through the same thing, but watching someone else go through it, just stung her heart.

"I'm looking after you guys from now on," Vitani said. She looked at Kiara, "Um, do you know if your big brother, Kopa, would like to schedule a time for you guys to play? It would make them feel better."

"I'm not sure he would want you there. You're a Royal," Kiara stated. Vitani nodded sadly, "Could you tell him that I'd like to try that anyways?" Vitani asked. "Yeah of course," Kiara smiled, she ran off.

Kiara ran into the den. Kopa, Kayson, and Kion were there. Baraka must have left.

"Kopa Kopa!" Kiara shouted. Kopa turned to his younger sister, "Yes Kiara?" "Kovu, Nuka, and Vitani lost their parents. Royals killed them," She stated. Kopa growled, "Do you think Vitani helped them?" He turned to Kion and Kayson.

"Why would she kill her own parents!" Kion shouted. Kopa turned back to Kiara.

"Vitani is now taking care of them. She was wondering if we could schedule a time to play?" Kiara asked, hope in her eyes.

"NO! SHES A ROYAL!" Kopa shouted. "But Kovu and Nuka aren't," Kiara replied. "I don't want Vitani in my den," Kopa growled.

"Please big brother," Kiara have him the begging eyes, "It will help them feel better after what happend to their parents. I mean, even Kovu cried!"

Kopa stood up straight, shocked, "But Kovu never cries." "Well he's upset. Please," Kiara begged.

Kopa looked at her, and twitched his ears, "Alright fine." Kiara jumped for joy. "Let's go and tell them," Kopa walked out. Kiara followed.
