⚠️WARNING! YOU WILL MOST LIKELY CRY! ⚠️

It has been about a year. Ananda gave birth to three cubs, Koda, Asha, and Leah. Kiara and Kovu let her and Sahasi name them. Koda was the adventurous one, Asha was the rule breaker, and Leah was the responsible one.

Leah had always asked what had happened to Kiara, but Kovu and Kiara just said that Kiara was born that way, because they didn't want the cubs knowing that there was a separation.

Ananda and Sahasi were always welcome at Kiara and Kovu's den to see their birth cubs. Koda, Asha, and Leah knew that Ananda and Sahasi were their real parents. They called Sahasi and Kovu their dad, and Kiara and Ananda their mom. But lived with Kiara and Kovu.

Kion and Rani had found out not to long ago, that Rani was pregnant. They were both over the moon.

Kion always made sure Rani was safe, and always made sure she got enough exercise.

"Kion you don't need to be so overprotective of me," Rani chuckled. "Nonsense. You're my mate, I must protect you," Kion said, looking out of their den, on high alert.

Rani walked up, and hugged him from behind, "Kion, there is a guard at the pass, and a backup guard after that. No one is going to get in the Tree Of Life," Rani assured him.

Kion turned around, "Alright," He chuckled. Rani smiled and nuzzled him.

3 Months Later:

Kion paced back and forth infront of the tree. "Kion, she will be fine," Kayson put his paw on Kion's shoulder.

Kion looked into the tree, "Maybe, but she is screaming. I don't like it. What if she's hurt!" Kion tucked his ears down.

He heard another blood curtling scream from Rani, then, it stopped.

Kion looked at the tree's entrance, anxious.

Nirmala walked out, but she didn't look happy. Kion ran in.

Kion's eyes adjusted to the darkness. He heard crying. "Rani?" He asked. He saw Rani laying on her side, and blood everywhere.

He looked at Ananda. She was holding two cubs in her paws, while crying.

"Ananda? What happened? Is everything ok?" Kion asked. Ananda looked at him. Her eyes were red from crying.

"R-Rani, s-she didn't make it," Ananda cried. Kion stared at her in disbelief. "NO!" He roared and ran to Rani's side. He shook her, trying to wake her up.

"Rani! Rani get up please! You can't be dead! You can't leave me! I won't live without you!" Kion shouted. Rani's body didn't move.

Kion cried into her neck, "Rani please!" She still didn't move. Kion back away from her, tears in his eyes, "N-No! No!" He turned to Ananda, "Did the cubs make it!"

Ananda tried to respond, but her words got caught in her throat. Kion ran out. He couldn't bear to see his cubs, and mate dead.

Kayson and Kopa watched their brother run out. They looked at eachother confused.

Nirmala walked up to them, "Rani didn't make it. The cubs did, but....but shes gone."

Kopa and Kayson gasped, "I'm going after Kion!" Kopa ran, following his little brother.

Shanti walked up to Kayson, confused. "What happened?" She asked. "Rani....s-she didn't make it," Kayson said quietly.

Shanti gasped and nuzzled under his chin.

Kion ran away from everyone. He stood over a cliff. He looked down. "I can't live without her," He cried.

Kion stared at the drop that was just a few paw steps away from him.
