(I'm not using my usual mock to display covers cause I'm lazy and also I think it just contributes to wattpad lowering image quality even more. And my name's stamped on the model so don't think you can steal it to use for your own books either.)

Nothing like finally updating my shop cover for the new year over a month late.

I've been watching a playthrough of Detroit: Become Human and while that game has worse writing quality than books on here (and is frankly somewhat racist but we're not gonna get into that rn), it's inspired me to make an android edit.

I know I recently posted about my extreme burn out and it's still there to an extent, but I managed to make this cover. It was pretty smooth sailing as well, probably because I write sci-fi but I found adding all of the mechanical parts and drawing some of them quite fun.

There's a whisper in the back of my mind that feels like it's not a "good" edit because the base image was already easy to use/is made for these types of edits. Often times I feel like if an image is easy to manipulate, that I didn't challenge myself enough, or that I "cheated". So it leads to me trying to pick something better but harder, which...leads to that burnout I mentioned because I now have to figure out how I want to go about editing it.

I know this logic is bad, because there's nothing wrong with "easy" base images, and I know I don't always have to challenge myself on everything I make. But it's always there for me and I'm teaching myself to get over it.
