Hi there! This book is partially inspired by Glue-All's 'The Ocean Bnha x OP reader.' If you like my story make sure to check theirs out!

I woke up to an odd stillness, the kind that weighs on you before you even open your eyes. A dull ache throbbed in my head, and I couldn't place the sensation of the hard floor beneath me. Slowly, I blinked and took in my surroundings—a long hallway, the kind you'd see in an old school. The lights overhead flickered faintly, casting an uncomfortably sterile glow.

I wasn't in my apartment.

I sat up cautiously, pushing my hair out of my face. The last thing I remembered was dozing off on my couch after watching an old film, and now I was here. The air smelled faintly of dust, and the walls were lined with doors, each marked with a number.

How did I get here?

It was a simple question, but one I couldn't answer. I pushed myself to my feet, my legs unsteady beneath me. My mind raced as I scanned the hallway again, noting the small details—numbers on the doors, the muted colors of the walls, the quiet hum of the fluorescent lights above. Where the hell was I?

Then, the silence was shattered by the sharp ring of a bell. It echoed down the hallway, the sound too loud for the space. Without warning, the classroom doors flung open, and students poured out in a flood—talking, laughing, shuffling toward the exits in a hasty rush.

I froze.

People. Too many people. They moved fast, like they knew exactly where they were going. My throat tightened, and I took a step back, pulling myself against the wall, trying to stay out of their way. The crowd didn't seem to notice me, but I felt like I was invisible in the worst way possible.

I needed to leave.

I caught sight of a door at the end of the hallway—small, tucked away. A bathroom. Quiet. Safe. I slipped toward it as quickly as I could, careful not to bump into anyone. Once inside, I locked the door and leaned against it, breathing slowly to steady my nerves.

What the hell was going on?

I wasn't supposed to be here. This place—whatever it was—felt off. None of it made sense. How did I end up in a school? Why was I here?

I took a deep breath, trying to clear my head. The noise from outside faded, and after a while, the hall went still again.

The minutes stretched on, and I found myself pacing, restless, before I finally stepped out of the bathroom. The hall was empty now. I walked slowly, keeping my movements measured. I needed answers, but I wasn't sure who to ask.

Every step I took felt deliberate, like each one might lead to something—something that might explain how I ended up in a place that didn't belong to me.

The hall stretched out before me, empty, echoing in a way that made my skin prickle. It was the kind of place that felt like it had a story—like it was waiting for something to happen. I wasn't sure what it was, but the feeling crawled beneath my skin.

Then, the sound of footsteps. Heavy, purposeful.

I turned the corner just as a man rounded it, his tired eyes locked on his phone. He almost bumped into me, but stopped just in time. He looked up, clearly surprised to find me standing there.

"You shouldn't be in the halls," he said gruffly, his voice carrying the weight of disinterest. But then his eyes narrowed. He seemed to recognize that I wasn't a student. No uniform, no clear purpose.

I opened my mouth to explain, but my words faltered when I saw the look in his eyes. He didn't seem like someone I could trust.

The moment stretched on for a few seconds too long before he stepped closer, his expression turning suspicious.

"Who are you?" he asked.

I swallowed hard. "I—I don't know. I just woke up here."

Before I could finish, he moved quickly, and before I knew it, his scarf was wrapped tightly around me, pulling me off balance.

"You're not supposed to be here," he said again, this time with more force. "What's your name?"

"I'm not... I'm not trying to cause any trouble," I said, the words coming out in a rush. "I don't know how I got here. I didn't mean to intrude."

But my plea was interrupted when the door to a nearby room opened with a sudden crash. Two more figures appeared—both of them seemed just as caught off guard as the first man.

"What's going on here, Eraser?" one of them asked, a sharp edge to his voice.

I didn't wait for any more questions. In a panic, I twisted and pulled, struggling against the scarf. It was too tight, too restricting. But his grip loosened just enough—probably from being startled by his coworkers, for me to slip free.

And in that instant, I bolted.

I didn't know where I was running to, only that I needed to get away. My heart hammered in my chest as my legs carried me through the maze of hallways.

I didn't hear them at first. Not until it was too late. The footsteps—heavy, quick—were closing in.

"Stop!"

I didn't have time to process what was happening before I felt a rush of heat.

What the—?

It started in my feet, a strange warmth that quickly built into something more—something powerful. I felt it surge through my body, radiating out, spreading like wildfire. Light burst from the ground beneath me, burning through my shoes and causing the floor to crack beneath my feet.

I gasped, unsteady. What was this power? Why was it happening?

The force of the energy made me stumble, and I fell. My back hit the wall with a sickening thud, the light flickering out of control as I tried to regain my balance.

I didn't have the strength to keep moving.

Then, they were there—those two men again, their faces grim as they approached.

"End of the line," one of them said, his voice calm but heavy with authority.

I tried to back away, but the wall kept me trapped.

Tears stung my eyes. "I don't want to fight. I just... I just need to go home."

The energy surged again, out of my control. Light exploded in every direction,

"Stop her-!" One of them shouted, my skin tingling from the power erupting from it.

So Ik that probably no one is going to read this, but since this is mostly for my enjoyment and gain that doesn't matter much. This is my first story on Wattpad :D so sorry if there are a few spelling errors here and there. Ik this chapter was pretty short, but believe me, this story should get more interesting. Ps: Thank you to anyone that reads this :)
